Sorry, but you didn't refute anything. This was the direct quote from persianbruin:

"He became the youngest allstar starter ever that year." That statement is a fact, and by definition, facts cannot be refuted. And believe me, my reading comprehension is pretty strong...

I don't care what the crux of your argument is, but if this isn't a direct reference and comparison between Jordan and Kobe yet again by you, then I don't know what is. persianbruin's comment was related to Kobe's sophomore season dunk, you took it to a whole new level by challenging the validity of his selection. So once again I ask you, please give it a rest when off topic. Your views and opinions are widely known and understood by now.

Sorry Babak, I know its your thread but I cant let this one go!

Ommy, do you honestly wanna tell me you dont see the difference between a player who goes to a lottery team which usually means a horrible team, becomes the man on the team and has the green light to shoot whenever he wants and is a starter that plays 40-45 minutes a game AND a player that goes to a contender that already has not one, two but 3 other all star players and has to come off the bench and because the team is in championship hunt he doesnt get to do whatever he wants to. DO YOU HONESTLY DONT SEE THAT!!????????

Do you honestly dont see the difference between a player that prior to coming to NBA goes to one of the best college basketball programs in the nation and for 3 years is being trained by THE best coach in college, Dean Smith AND a player that comes straight out of high school!!???

The same age Kobe was battling MJ in the allstar game when all the other players were letting the 2 most talented players in the league go at it , MJ was a sophmore at UNC playing against teams like Clemson and NC state!

      Nigga please!

Paul Pierce absolutely destroys Chris Bosh the All-Star. 2nd best dunk of the year after Wade's dunk on Varejao:

NOw that I think about it, I can se why I had never heard the voting for kobe theory before. Its because that its from such a long time ago that many people specially the youngsters cant even remember that there was no internet voting back then!! Watch the following clips from the 98 allstargame. As an MJ fan you are gonna enjoy this Also just watch how a 19 year old plays with such confidence and swagger against the best in the world and listen to Isiah Thomas at 4:15. THis was somthing everybody know. KbE vs MJ was something that all the players in the league were excited about which goes to show you how brilliant of a player Kobe was at age 19

as much as i like kobe, he aint jordan, but he IS the next jordan

see jordan would never let his team go down like lakers did last nite against cleveland and lebron...especially after that humiliating x-mas day loss. Jordan always got revenge...not years later but that season or the year after

BY THE WAY GUYS....STOP JACKING THESE THREADS AND MAKE A KOBE-JORDAN COMPARISON....i only made that statement above and thats it...no more

not that I am trying to make a case for Kobe being better than Jordan age 19!!! I still think MJ is the better player but when its all said and done Kobe will. Btw didnt you read when I said George Karl didnt play Kobe that much in the second half and the conspiracy theory behind it? The league would have come to an end if Kobe had become the MVP of the game at age 19! Maybe that was the reason Karl benched him!

I still have a hard time believing Westbrook was a bench player at UCLA!! Goes to show you the quality of players we lost to the NBA. No wonder the team sucks so badly nowdays!

                            i disagree

if anyone charges like that with their knee into the defender trying to posterize, wtf is the defender gonna do? u can do that on shaq and itll be the same

a good dunk is a dunk where the defender made a legitimate attempt to prevent the player from dunking, as in the case of wades dunk

still overrated huh?..... since he became healthy in December he has avg'ed 23ppg, 7 ass/gm and 5 rbpg on over 48% shooting

Wow it seems that both Babak and PB were at the game in Phoenix and were truly taken aback by Rose's monster display:
