Thailand Want To Qualify For The Asian Cup - Bryan Robson

    Goal.com

Former Manchester United and England captain Bryan Robson opted to leave the UK back in September 2009 in order to replace compatriot Peter Reid as head coach of Thailand's national side. Robson is enjoying life in Bangkok and has made it clear that Thailand are determined to qualify for the Asian Cup.

"My initial priority is qualifying for the Asian Cup. We have a difficult task now because we tripped up in two games against Jordan. The first one before I arrived in Jordan we should have won," said Robson to FIFA.com.

"Then, at home, the boys were excellent, we put in a really good performance but missed chances again, and only took a point when we should have taken three. Now, instead of being qualified already, we have a very difficult game in Iran which we either need to draw or win to go through.

"Since I have been here, we have had some good performances. In the games that matter, we put in a very good showing to win 3-1 in Singapore, but then suffered a disappointing defeat against the same side through a very bad mistake when there was nothing in the game.

"In the match against Jordan the boys were excellent, but we only managed to draw, so it's been mixed."

Good for them. I hope they do qualify. These days they are parallel to TM.

i rate them way more than singapour and to a lesser degree Jordan..!!
some of their poor recent results against these two are surprising to say the least..!!
if TM plays anything like the 1st half of last game(singapour) then they will surely rape us even in Azadi..!!

i think they will muster a tie against us and make the AC Deservedly....! though for sake of not having to face them again in AC, i hope we beat them and hence make way for Jordan or singapour at the cup ...!!
