Canadians are Hockey maniacs. I was so surprised seeing kids playing hockey all over the streets when I was there, and that in summer.

And embarassing?? How about the 5-2 American HOME loss in the 2002 Winter Olympics to Canada in the gold medal game? If you actually watched that game, you'd see there was nothing to be embarassed about - Miller was just STELLAR.

Olympic hockey specifically is one step above anything you'll see in the NHL. The excitement, the fans, the atmosphere and the sense of pride - it's all overwhelming.

not ALL canadians like hockey the ones who are obsessed are the true canadians like there whole backround is canadian. But me and many of my friends dont like hockey mnay like basketball/football/soccer.

What many don't understand is the majority of american's don't really care about hockey as a sport, they are into this tournament based on patriotism.

If US wins they will talk so much smack
If US loses they will go about their day and not give a shit.

If Canada wins Canadians will talk smack.

Its going to be an intense final. Personally, I live in the States, but I really don't care for any of their national sport teams. But, I'm not a big Sid the Kid fan so for like the first time ever, I'll be pulling for US. But I really hope Canada wins, its in Canada, Canada loves hockey, and its good excuse for the Canadians to go out and have a good time. If US wins, great, if they lose, I will just continue on with my life. lol
