it'd be an epic game. having Villa, Silva and Mata at Anfield , hopefully they'll fall in love with the stadium, one of them of course. their attack is so good but their defense is very very average, Torres, Aqua and Babel will destroy their defense with all the holes in it.

my team's in the final eight( standard de liege) it's a big achievement since it's our worst season since the late 90's. everyone here in begium were sure that we will be eliminated against panathinaik0s but we won 4-1 on aggregate!!! now things are gettin harder i just hope that we have our return game at home otherwise we won't have any chance to go to the semi-finals

Besides rare exceptions, the fact is that only the top 4 from the EPL ever do well in Europe. Besides, it's not unusual to see a team or two from the EPL in the last 8 of EL. Let's see if Fulham can actually make it past this and even make the final. Liverpool I could see as one leg of the final, assuming they get a favorable draw, but then again, EPL's top 4 are the only teams that can compete in Europe and do well consistently, while the rest of the league rarely bring any attention to itself in Europe and normally never make the last 4 or even last 8 of European competitions.

it's because Aston Villa always play their reserves in Uefa Cup. O'Neil is desperate for a top 4 finish and he will sacrifice anything for it.

however, if City don't make the top 4 and go to Europa League, I can see them taking the competition seriously next year and put a real fight.

don't forget Fulham eliminated the title holders Shakhtar in the last round
