To be honest, I couldn't decide. I would take both .

bundesliga is on dubai sports for free, so i get to watch it regularly but the other 3 are on Al Jazeera paid channel which i dont have and i get to watch watever TV3 iran broadcasts.
ofcourse, this doesnt mean torres cant score with his head at all, cos if he couldnt, then he wouldnt be one of the best players in the world!
not that rooney is a great sarzan, i said he is better than torres in heading as well and that is partly because of his stronger upper body built and muscual built overall which helps him in this. this is wat i can recollect from watching the 2 for past few years. obviously u follow torres every game, so maybe he isnt as weak as i think in the air, but for sure, he isnt a great player in the air otherwise it would have been obvious in the games i have seen from him.
rooney is a more complete player and more a team player.
u can also argue from another angle and say, at the highest level of football where coaches instruct their players what tactics to implement, there is a reason why liverpool doesnt play aerial balls a lot and their midfielders are asked to play on the ground while manchester united players are allowed to cross more often??! if manchester united didnt have header players like rooney (or dimitar when he is playing), u think ferguson would allow nani and valencia to keep crossing aimlessly into the penalty area?
u think benitez who is a master tactician would not want his team to play more aerial balls to torres if he was so good in the air?
also keep in mind, to me, liverpool or man utd make no difference cos im neutral towrads both, maybe even more biased towards liverpool cos of my admiration for gerrard but ur situation is different and ur a die hard liverpool fan and i can argue that there is a degree of bias in ur opinion of the 2! but then again, u follow EPL more, specially liverpool and torres, so, maybe ur right but i would like to know where u got the stats from that torres is top 3 headers in the premier league and wat sort of comparisons u made?
2007-08 season= 33 goals scored, 8 headers
2008-09 season= 17 goals scored, 6 headers
2009-10 season= 20 goals scored, 2 headers
overall LFC career= 70 goals scored, 16 headers.
so around 22% of his goals are headers, which is impressive considering Liverpool's playing style under Benitez, where the team don't play with natural wingers who hug the touchline and cross the ball. wingers are Kuyt, Benayoun, Babel and Maxi who all cut inside rather than crossing.
another reason for his lack of headers this season, would be Stevie's dreadful crossing, that we have only scored 2-3 goals off corners and set plays all season which is shocking. Johnson & Aurelio are best crossers of the ball in Liverpool both have been injured for 50-70% of the season. however, Antonio Valencia has settled perfectly in the United team and is one of the only natural wingers left in the game, who hugs the touchline and crosses the ball in every opportunity. something like our own Mahdavikia in his prime
if someone can do the stats for Rooney over the past 3 years, it would be awesome
but of course neither one are as good as Ali Daei in the air, but both will have Iran's NT striker problems

thanks, not bad stats, better than i would have thought. however, i doubt his heading stats in the champions league and spanish national team is anywhere close to this.
now that i see the stats, i doubt rooney can match those stats in headers, although again, i dont follow EPL so closely, so i could be wrong again.
one thing to keep in mind but is difficult to track as stats and can only be noticed through repetivite game watching is the aerial battles each of the 2 players win, the number of assists or even the type of header goals they score. for example, a simple tap in header is fairly simple which even a goal keeper can do, but then heading from near the penalty spot is difficult and not all players can do that.
i think kluivert and bierhoff were the best in aerial abilities since i started following football. klose and shearer too, but their height sometimes let them down against bigger opponents.

The most underrated player in the world right now = Tevez. Why aren't you guys talking about him? He doesn't deserve to play at City but he does and he scores hat tricks and works his ass off to save them in games. Without Tevez City would be fighting for relegation this year.
Top 3 strikers in EPL this year = Rooney, Tevez, Drogba.
Top 3 players in the world this year = Messi, Rooney, Tevez. The Worker-communist Party of Iran (WPI)

2008 = gets a red card during stoppage time when Chelsea are pressuring and are all over United for childish behaviour
2009= misses 3 1 vs. 1s against Valdes when Chelsea are up 1-0 and Abidal is sent off. not to mention after that
2010= gets fully nullified in 2 games by Lucio, but again at the age of 32, continues his childish behaviour by getting a red card and yesterday he was given a 2 games suspension in CL.
am I lying ?
the so called best striker should be there for you, when you need him the most.
also, I have a lot of Chelsea fans, they all admit Chelsea play better football and Lampard plays twice as good when they play only Anelka up front.
