2009= misses 3 1 vs. 1s against Valdes when Chelsea are up 1-0 and Abidal is sent off. not to mention after that
2010= gets fully nullified in 2 games by Lucio, but again at the age of 32, continues his childish behaviour by getting a red card and yesterday he was given a 2 games suspension in CL.
    am I lying ?
the so called best striker should be there for you, when you need him the most.
also, I have a lot of Chelsea fans, they all admit Chelsea play better football and Lampard plays twice as good when they play only Anelka up front.
well that's true what you said but scoring over 24 goals(only epl) only 2goals less than rooney is really good

          Athletico vs. Liverpool
          Hamburg vs. Fulham
          ---------------------------

Torres is on 2 yellows, hopefully he doesn't fight with the refs in semis to get another booking and a game suspension, I'll kill myself if he misses any games from now on

edit. Aguero suspended for the first leg in Spain. good news for us (3 yellows)

Rooney is a much more important player than Torres, Rooney is the reason Man U could compete with likes of Chelsea and Milan after selling two of their superstars while Torres is just another good finisher who lives off Gerrard.

reason to United's success = Sir Alex Ferguson. he can make the most average players look world class. Rooney, Vidic and Evra can leave the summer and SAF will make sure United will compete for the title. he is the best manager of the past 2 decades and among top 5-10 managers of all time along Busby, Paisley, Shankly, and Hitzfeld. his "typical germans" comment was hilarious

the one advantage Rooney has compared to Torres though, is that he rarely gets injured and recovers outta nowhere. so quick.

one of my friends does stats on players, and from around 34 goals Rooney has scored this season, all have been in the box and mostly the 6 yard box are as opposed to outside of the box are the angles of the box.

If Rooney wasn't an Everton fan from his childhood, we wouldn't have this discussion now as both of them would be playing in the same team, Liverpool. lol

ps. Torres has scored 22 goals this year, only 3-4 have been assisted by Gerrard lol

Assist shows you if that certain player directly contributed to the goal. Thats the tricky part of stats you gotta avoid and refer to the games you have seen for reference, Gerrard is the main playmaker of liverpool and he directly or indirectly is responsible for most of Liverpool's goals. On the other hand Rooney doesnt have Gerrard behind him to make the plays and on numerous accounts Rooney has initiated the attack which was resulted in him scoring a goal.

Torres makes it look so easy. Thats how great players do it.

                  Good semi-final tie with Atletico

Rooney has become more of a finisher this year. He's getting more goals in the penalty box and becoming the talisman of the team. Before, he would get involved in the build-up and try to shoot from far.
