of course, EPL is a great league and very entertaining, I don't deny that, but overall, due to the gap b/w the top4 and the rest, for years in a row, I do not think that just because the big 4 normally do well in the ECL, EPL is the best league in europe.
Look at the UEFA cup in the last few years for instance, when was the las time an enlish team played in the final? in the last 4????
so you get my point, yes EPL is a great league to watch and follow and very entertaining, but the best in europe as far as the overall quality? I certainly do not think so. I would probably go with La Liga, even though I don't really follow it as closely as I follow the EPL and the German league.Originally posted by The-Red View Post^thanks and compare that to the German, Spanish, or Italian teams...almost every year there is a team from these leagues in the europa league semi.sigpic
Salute to anyone who stands against these barbaric, inhumane and irrational laws of ANY religion.

the englaish league is still the strongest in the world, but its not the strongest because they play the most sophisticated football. they just have the best players in their league.
when they march through europe and they beat any team they do it because they are simply more powerful than the other teams and they roll over them. none of the big english 4 have ever outplayed another team in the cl.
now when some team from spain and germany comes and is not scared of them and fully opposes them, the english teams dont look that powerful anymore.

elnino jan, Liverpool winning the Europa league may be their only hope of Champions League football next year the way Tottenham and Citeh are challenging. I wish them well, but also Fulham...because they've done so well for such a small club.
even winning the EL won't help us qualify for the CL. but at least we get a lot of money and get to play CL winners in super-cup.
Tottenham have 3 games in a row with Arsenal, Chelsea and United while City has to face Arsenal, United, Tottenham and Villa. all we have to do is keep winning and hope they drop points.
and Fulham omg, it just proves the important a good coach (Hodgson) and Wolfsburg collapse after Magath leaving shows the effect of a great coach.
ironically, Liverpool and Fulham are facing each other on sunday in PL.
I am done my exams , so I can enjoy footy with no worries

plus aguero will miss the game.
no team rapes Liverpool to shreds. despite a horrible season, our worse loss of the season is 3-1 mind you. and Liverpool is still among top 3-4 teams who have kept the most # clean sheets in EPL and 5th best defense with 33 goals conceded in 33 games. The bad season comes from a horrible away form, only 4 wins away from Anfield all year and a lot of 1-0 losses.
and no matter how many goals Valencia would score, Liverpool could score the same or more, since Valencia's defense is absolutely garbage and most of their first choice defenders are injured (I have a die hard Valencia fan who told me this).
