I knowabout Magic's final game in his rookie year and its absolutely phenomenal. Again why do you think I am a laker fan? I have been one sine I lived in Iran. and Kobe can never do what Magic did and Magic could never do what Kobe did. But in terms of dominance, Kobe is a more dominant player and he plays much better defense than Magic.

MJ however, was vastly superior to Kobe in terms of defense and as far as last night's game. It was a new territory for Kobe and as the rest of team said he was trying to do too much.

ghabool kon. The media never put this type of pressure on MJ. Kobe's 15 rebounds are enough evidence of har he played and when it mattered the ost he delivered

Honestly I don't think there was ever a plan for a team to step up and collectively stop Magic. Been watching the NBA since 1992 religously, never heard anyone talk about jordan's legacy, even when he had only one championship.
I expect this from the haters cuz they are running out of excuses but from you I can't believe it.
anyways, javoon , I am in heaven and natural high right now . I am just trying to educate you kids (and wilbon) who don't know the numbers (or choose to forget them whenever its convenient )
Congrats to the 31 year old Kobe Bryant who is 4th alltime in playoff points and already has 5 rings. While getting the last 2 with only a "possible" HOFamer. He didnt have the best defensive and all around small forward of alltime alongside him
If you considered Rondo a sure fire Hall of Famer, and Rasheed as a possible Hall of Famer, then I'd expect you to label Pau as the greatest center who has ever lived! Now he's only "possible?!

Plus, a game 6 when you're already up 3-2 isn't the same as the pressure of a Game 7 (even though he was playing at home!)
1.3% difference is the same shyt! are you kidding me!? Plus there is no room for error in game 7 which is why there is more pressure. Jordan was playing at home too and didnt have as much pressure but remember. The sonics had won 2 in a row to make the series 3-2 and everyone was afraid of them giving away the series but Dennis Rodman had 11 offensive rebounds (I guess many of them coming off of MJ's clangs! ) which tied his own finals record. I wish Kobe had a dennis rodman! You also seem to forget the lakers have won the last 2 championships with an injured/part-time bynum. Jordan had EVERYONE at full speed for all of those 6 championships

But Jordan could do what Kobe did, only better. Meanwhile, Shaun Livingston is still the closest thing to ever even attempting to do what Magic did. Hence my point: As great as Kobe is, he isn't unique. Magic was the one and only.

So far they both have 5 titles. If Kobe can win 1 or 2 more titles, we can officially claim him to be the greatest Laker ever.

gooz beh shagheegheh che rabti dareh!!?? Who are you and why have you logged on with Babak's username?

weren't you the same guy arguingwith others over Kobe vs. MJ thing? Now again I am not saying Kobe is better than MJ but what does that have to do with Magic and I dont care if there is not another Magic, thats not Kobe's fault. Read what you wrote in the quote above. Its as logical as 2+3=7

You are mixing two mutually exclusive events. This is not even a matter of bbal anymore its simple logic (or lack thereof)

I'm not saying since Magic is unique, THEREFORE he is the greatest Laker ever. I am using it as one of many facts, to show by a totality of the circumstances, that Magic is still the greatest Laker ever.

I don't love Kobe and I don't hate him. I'm not biased. I can see and understand both sides of the arguments. From what I've seen, I believe Magic is still the greatest Laker ever up til now. If Kobe can win 1 more title to surpass Magic, then I'd agree with you. At this moment, he's the 2nd greatest Laker ever, and a top 5-10 all-time player in NBA history.
