what favours have they done to the football world so far?

there are many countries in the world who could host a wc. the question is whether they even have a bit of football culture in their country. thats very important in my eyes.

blatter was mainly referring to qatar, and I say no thanks to that.

the only "arab" teams who would slighty deserve to host one, and have a bit of what it takes for it, are the north africans.

the reason is that no 'brown asian' country has ever hosted the world cup. South Africa only got it cos no african country has ever got the world cup. 2002, korea/japan got it because no 'yellow asian' country or any asian country had it at that time. All you need is facilities. If they didnt care about spreading the tornament around the world. it would constantly be in developed western europe and usa.

Facilities determine if you can host. A good team that can qualify its own determine if you should participate in the World Cup. Since hosting also will require participation of the host then they should have shown they are capable of qualifying (unless they wanna host without participating).

there are a lot of financial, marketing opportunity in Qatar. There are firms that are willing to spend, and there are people that are willing to spend. Arabs in general will spend big. Thats really all it comes down to. Arabs will definitely get a world cup soon. It has nothing to do with the level of play in that country

I did not say that only countries with good national teams deserve to host the wc.
I said countries who have a football culture.
south africa has football culture.

a country where the stadiums are always empty in the league games and the clubs have to pay some jobless people to come to their stadium, wear their colors and swing some flags, does not have a football culture.

man if we didnt have that god damn revolution, we could be the ones being talked about as possibly hosting a WC, not these tokhmi arab nations. Does anyone want to really see a bunch of arab teams grassroll their way through a group? I sure dont.

If Qatar hosted the WC and played either Brazil or Argentina there would be more than 11 South Americans on the field lol, they would definitely naturalize a few not-very-good-at-all south american players to add to the team
