It was recently proven by World Soccer Magazine that the referees in Italy are far more strict than the referees in England, and that this had become evident in European cup games between Italian and English teams the past few years, being one of many reasons why many Italian teams were eliminated early on in the tournaments. You are allowed to be more physical in the PL (which is a good thing in my opinion) as opposed to Serie A.
Maybe with this logic it is easier to score goals in England, because you are allowed to do more (as a striker/midfielder) or reversely, it is more difficult to score goals in England because the defenders are allowed to be more physical in their defending.
I personally think that it is uninteresting to say which league is the most difficult to score in etc. Scoring the goals is the important thing, regardless of where it takes place. Henrik Larsson was awarded with the Golden Boot in the early 2000s for scoring a massive amount of goals in the Scottish league. People laughed at him and said that it was easy scoring goals in the Scottish Premier League. They laughed until he went to Barcelona, scored goals there and contributed heavily to their Champions League final victory over Arsenal back in 2006. He also proved in Manchester United (despite a very short spell) and in the Swedish national team that he is a great goalscorer.
In other words, it doesn't matter where the goals are made. The winner still takes it all .

EPL is the toughest leagueI've learnt it's not what you have in your life, but who you have in your life that counts
