attacking wise fulham had nothing. on the other hand atletico looked like scoring everytime they attacked, it was a victory for football.
forlan is a big match player.
Congratz Atletico! How amazing Atletico will probably win the Copa del rey as well, so they will get the double, but Real that spent millions will get nothiiiingg.
    Totally agree.

Watch fulham was like watching paint dry, they don't even have one player who can dribble, they are the stoke / N. Korea of europe.

      well, i disagree.

Fulham play neat, attractive football at times, with duff and davies cutting inside, and gera with all these one touch passing. It was evident yesterday, but in second-half, their MAIN striker(Zamora) was taken off. In first half, he played with alot of pain, and was flicking on headers and causing Atletico problems..

What im trying to say, is that if Zamora was fit, and stayed on, it could have been different. In the end of day, he wasn't, and Forlan was the difference.

Atletico DESERVED it, no doubt, but Fulham should be proud of themselves for what they have achieved..

they don't have one player who can dribble?? Duff? Davies? they are not bad with the ball.. besides, since when did Football just be 'about skill' ?? Forlans goals were, nothing, more than goalcorer tap-ins, but they are goals. You don't need 'skills' everytime, you just need a work-rate, disclipined and take your chanes when you can. Fulham did that vs Basle,Roma,Wolfsburg, Juventus, Hamburg... however, last-night, atletico was a different level.

Fulham can be proud of themselves.. Repect to Roy Hudgson and his boys
I've learnt it's not what you have in your life, but who you have in your life that counts

I hope you know Fulham's best striekr limped off after 55 minutes...

also, Athletico had 2 wins in regular time in entire European Competitions this year, both in CL and EL...they qualified to EL from CL because of away goal scored in Cyprus, then in EL, they made the final all the rounds because of Away goal. hardly worthy of champions.

Aguero is probably worth the entire Fulham squad alone, give Fulham some credit. Forlan-Kun-Simao and Reyes are all class players which are difficult to contain.

Fulham had their chance to score the second in the first 30 minutes of second half when they dominated, they didn't and lost as a result of counter-attack.

Athletico were very lucky with ref decisions before making the final too, 2 penalties on David Villa not given, Benayoun's onside goal in Spain disallowed, their first goal last night was suspect.

....but yea last night, Athletico played better

fulham shoulda lost to juve...they got lucky in the 2nd leg cuz juve had 3rd string keeper that never plays, bunch of key players injured and missing AND they went down to 10 men....it was actually 1-1 when before they got red carded...so after that is when they got charged up to score 3 more....

in any case, athletico is the much better team with better players...so they got what they deserve

because they showed spirit and came back from a 4-1 deficit

wow, Ekbatan, you hate for the British and EPL is too much at times...and going down to 10 men ain't luck by anymeans, they made a good attack which forced Cannavaro to take a risk and make a tackle which didn't work out

how the hell is it luck

gotta love how EPL is hated

actually I ain't surprised you said it,.... a few days ago you said Valdez has been a better keeper than Casillas over the course of their careers , should've sigged that

in CL they had the old coach who sucked big time. with Quique coming in they have played so much better, specially defensively he fixed them. very smart coach because once you fix defensive problems of atletico you can always win games since their attacking players will always find a goal or two.
Fulham deserved to be in the final no doubt but their real quality was shown in the final, they were simply outclassed even with zamora on who isn't such a big deal anyway, he was in perea's pockets the whole time
what bothers me with EPL teams is that they come to a final and instead of playing their attacking game(which they can do well) as they showed against juve at home, they play so conservatively and cautious that makes them look so poor and in the end they lose. so why not give it a try and be more risky YOU HAVE MORE CHANCE OF WINNING when you attack!

              GRACIAS PEP
