yea but nowdays goals are scored by everyone on the team not just strikers

also there used to be alot of high scoring games back then as opposed to now, competition is much higher even from unknown teams

1998 World cup top scorer was Suker with 6,2002 top scorer was Ronaldo with 6 goals, 2006 Top scorer was Klose with 5, so for the last 3 World cups none has scored more than 6.

if he somehow manages to score 2 in the 2 remaining games he only needs 2 more to tie the record. then potentially a round of 16 match and at least a quarter final which is 2 more games which is plenty for him to score 2 more. if not then he potentially has 1 more world cup (2014)

Klose scored two today to put him just one shy of Ronaldo's record with two matches to go. He has a pretty good shot at it. He also became the only player in the history of the games to score 4 goals or more in 3 different world cups.
