Oh man, haven't been this happy about a World Cup game or soccer game ever since I can remember...sure you England supports may say we got lucky but the Yankees played an amazing game. And if you really believe we got lucky, try to remember in the 2nd half around the 70th minute how we practically had a one on one with the keeper and we got fouled with an arm to the neck (don't remember the 2 players involved), does anyone remember what I'm talking about?

england could be winner in this match but their keeper screwed all Capello plans.

not starting J.Cole and then benching him for 90 minutes and bringing on players like SWP ahead of him was suicidal for England.

on the good note, England's best players were Gerrard and Johnson

however, Carra was pants when he came on, almost broke someone's leg and got owned by Altidore

He should have brought Crouch on for Heskey at half time. Crouch would almost certainly have scored the header that Heskey missed from Gerrard's cross.

Rob Green was over confident (along with rest of the English Team) and they paid the price.

USA did a good Job of neutralizing Rooney as he is a very dangerous player.

If green had not effed up, I think USA would still find a draw.

I think Fabio Capello had some wrong starters and his choice of substitutions were not the best.
the England goal by captain Gerrad was nice,

Sorry but crouch was not the best substitution.

Come on Fabio! You just bring a tall player in to score with a header and that is your strategy?

Jay DeMerit practically blanked Rooney, save for a couple of good opportunities.

The "Yanks" stymied the Three Lions, except for one critical defensive error, from which Gerrard scored. And Altidore essentially bungled a scoring opportunity after rounding Carragher; aside from taking a better shot, he could have made a simple pass to a wide-open teammate at the top of the box.

Overall, I think that the draw favored the USA far more than England.

i don't think Green let that one in on purpose, if he wanted to let a goal in he would let in the one in second half when Altidore muscled around England defender Jamie Carragher and fired at near post which was saved by Green first and then the goal post!

I still can't believe how on earth England is considered by so many as a potential wc finalist or even the eventual champion..!
overrated as Ever..! They got way too many holes which will be exposed throughly by a more quality side if lucky enough to make it out of the groups..!
I'd give the Yanks a bigger chance of further advancement than England, mostly due to having a Stud keeper such as Howard..! opponents must come up with a Very special effort or chance to get the ball past his line..!

had a blast watching the game on jumbo screen at a bar, with a ton of drunken fans ( British & US ) singing all along and feeling really pissed and sad all-over again about how TM got fked out of the tournament..!
it really hadn't hit home yet for me untill this game..!
