Costa Rica, Canada (yes they have a decent enough team) Jamaica, Panama and Trinidad & Tobago are all pretty competitive countries as far as footy goes.. Honduras got lucky qualifying for those who don't keep up.

but what i really want to say is.. the top 3 of north and central america will ALWAYS take out the top three of asia.

I say take a full spot away from Africa, and to the some who don't know their geography well.. south america doesn't consist of many countries lol

This time I kind of agree too. 12 from EU is too many. EU should only have 10 and one added to both Asia and SA. This WC could easily do with out Greece and France.

The 7th and 8th teams from SA would have easily qualified from all other contingents including Asia.

why dont they just merge them with north america, they have 9 teams giving them 6 automatic is just dumb!!!!!

cos then there could be a case where no one from norht america qualifies and the world cup needs all areas of the world represented. I guess oceana is an exception but you expect australia to be there everytime and there are only 2 countries there and lots of islands.

If russia, turkey and isreal were asian countries in qualifying then we would have a good case of switching euro spot to us eventho none of these teams are there.

Holland played crap so far.
Spain yes but they choked in the first game and cant produce that display against a defensive minded team while Chile still managed to entertain and play their style even against the defensive swiss. Portugal didnt produce in the first game,only against DPR korea.

but surely there are too many european teams, I mean how the hell is greece in wc? by half time they didnt register a single shot (on or off target) on argentina's goal and their overall play is boring, lifeless and their results reflect that. same with slovakia, how did they qualify in the first place?!!!

Euro 2008 was amazing. IMO. The tourny definatly needed England though. I still thought it was great. Maybe even better than the WC this year, at least so far.

i was thinking the same thing, they are probably one of the most boring teams with more hype than necessary. Turkey, Russia, Croatia were much more exciting to watch.

well there are 4.5 spots for them so they can always be there.

Just because holland hasnt sparked yet doesnt mean anything. When they get going they are more exciting than Chile and just as exciting as brasil and argenitna.
