    Disaster of Africa

Cameroon, Nigeria, South Africa and Ivory Coast are already out.
I see Serbia winning or at least drawing, and Ghana is going to get a spanking by the merciless Germans. USA is stronger than Algeria.
It's very possible that 0 African sides will advance.
    Will they keep 5 spots?

yea i will be hoping that non of them make it past the group stage..!!
games without african sides are much quieter and tolerable on the vuvuzelas noises..!! just when i begin to get used to that fking noise in a game, it begins to irk me again..!

They actually had 6 spots this time.

Only because one team was hosts, and got automatic place.

vuvuzelas are there, with or without african teams.
the loudest vuvuzela noise pollution I heard was during japan-holland game.

I think its got a lot to do with african teams employing european managers and chnging their style which they clearly dont like and arent good at. with african managers and playing their african style they could have done a lot better because generally teams like cameroon, nigeria do well against european teams.

africa world cup was a disaster and i hope it never happens again in this continent, atleast not until another 30 years and they have LEARN to respect other cultures too.......other cultures are used to certain things like singing, playing their own instruments, etc.....they managed to kill all that

i personally thought this would happen, i do think they still should have 5 spots, but i think African teams altogether lack solid technical ability

Please enlighten me if I am wrong, but I do not think any African team had a home advantage this time.

What I mean is those vuvuzelas, the sound is always the same no matter what team is playing. The players are not able to hear any chants; they don’t really "feel" their fans.
For example in Azadi people chant things like "X sarvare Y" or "Iran chikaresh mikone" ...etc. This is how you support your team and often that motivates the players.

But now in the world cup each team has to hear the same sound as always: bffffffffffffffffffff in every match, 90 minutes only bfffffffffffffffffffff. It does not make any difference.

So it is not only annoying but also hurts the home advantage in my opinion and maybe it was one of the reasons why they failed.

well, i like to see african teams succeed but not all of them. They played not good this Wordl Cup. Ivory Coast has bad luck. Poor Team comes to two world cups and both times in group of death. I see them coming to the next world cup for sure with this team and with a other group they will advance. Ghana is very good without their TopPlayer Essien. Imagine him in this Team they already had 6 Points. Also Nigeria dont had Obi Mikel. But i dont see him so important for them than Essien for Ghana.
Cameroon is just crap so is Southafrica.

In 2002 Asian teams really flopped except Japan and Korea. Saudi Arabia and China scored a grand toal of 0 goal while allowing 20 goals on them.
Of course they did not get much support from host countries but still AFC countries did not do well when the World Cup was held in Asia.

The vuvuzela's is South African so its not used by all African countries. Also they are hosting the World Cup so they have the right to decide to organise things the way they want.

Islamic countries do not approve drinking. Some non Islamic countries allow drinking in the stadiums, now should they stop drinking alcholol too if they play an Islamic country at home? I for one would be annoyed if I had to sit among 100 drunk people without being drunk myself.

Don't get me wrong, I hate the vuvuzela too and I personally think it should be banned in every stadium other than South Africa, but the South Africans have the right to decide whether it should be banned there or not and people have to respect that.

That is not fair. In 2002, Japan and Asia were co-hosts so instead of another 4 teams qualifying, AFC only had 2.5 spots. Why was AFC given the shaft and CAF not?
