amazing end. just what I think was deserved in the group.
slovenia: very boring team to watch, VERY lucky to draw USA earlier
algeria: not good enough...
england: haven't been themselves but today they showed they deserved to go through, however they need to improve because round of 16 would be as easy vs likes of Ghana, Serbia, or even GERMANY.
USA: deserve to be first. most consistent in group. were better than other 3 teams in all games. Altidore unlucky to hit post vs USA to make it 2-1 late on. Disallowed goal late on vs. Slovenia which should have stood for 3 points. Even though today they got a late winner, they hit the post, had another wrongly judged disallowed goal. DESPITE all these ref decisions against them, they didn't waste their time complaining and just pushed on and got what they deserved!

Oh boy, today I was so proud of the US team, they deservedly topped the group with a late goal, superb finishing by Donavan, they were robbed out of 2 clear and clinical goals in this WC, one against the Slovenians which was denied by the referee, thus losing 2 precious points and once again today against Algeria they were denied a fully clean goal, thankfully though they managed to score a late goal in the stoppage time, hence topping the group. Quite honestly this was well deserved, they put on a much better show and more entertaining and all attack football compared to other teams of the group. This team plays with so much passion and fantastic stamina, they run all throughout the match as if there's no such thing as running out of gas. Well done US, well done!

England, oh well what can I say? they've just not been as good as I wanted them to be. Very sloppy play and poor finishing. Rooney has so far been the biggest flop of the tournament, WTH is wrong with this guy? he's just not the usual Rooney! could it be psychological issues? hmmmmm...

I really want to see US go far in this WC as I believe this will draw more public interest into soccer in the US, thus more investment and fuller stadiums for MLS. The football future looks great in America!
