what a fking boring game brazil-portugal was. thank God I didnt bother to go watch it in 3D! disgraceful performance from two teams that claim to be samba lovers. specially disappointed with brazil, they are pure shit and have lost their style. I sincerely hope they lose to the entertaining Chile by some margin.

Spain played good and deserved to win, Iniesta makes a lot of the difference.

What did you expect? Both teams were virtually through, and Brazil played abit more defensive, as they wanted top-spot, so they were content with a draw. I expected it to be a dull game.

Chille will find it difficult, because they are missing few players, and yesterdays game vs Spain has taken alot of energy out of them. On the other hand, Kaka will be back from suspension, and the Brazilian team played second-gear yesterday, so they will be much more ready for the game.

Pique really has surprised me ever since his move. His team scores and the first thing he does is run to the ref and make sure the player gets a card. once the red is produced he goes to celebrate. Spain are annnoying me to no end this tournament



That warranted a card?? And Torres stayed down throughtout the whole incident. It really takes a lot of guts to be that blatant.

Strada's knee accidently hit the heel of torres at full sprint which caused him to trip over himself ..! Like PK said his yellow in that incident was a make up call for his totally retarded rash challenge in the box earlier which if appropriately called woulda cost them a PK on top of sending off..!
I don't know WTF he was thinking playing so rough while already carting a yellow..!???
Overall, it was a weak officiated game..! The ref was about to totally loose control of the game, by handing out way too many yellow cards instead of verbal warnings early on in the game and then he was forced to ignore more card worthy infractions later in order to avoid too many sent-offs...!

I knew that the brazil/portugal game was going to be lame, so just watched the c. Ivory game hoping to see another rapage of NK ..! but as I predicted they just bunkered in & still they were quite lucky not to concede another 7-8 goals..! I still can't believe how these clowns qualified ahead of us ..!?? Really sad..!

I did not say it was a dive. Torres made a meal out of it. It was an accidental trip. Chille defender is not even aware that Torres is there. If you see, Torres's right heel gets clipped by the defenders knee/shin part. That is NO WAY near a booking for me. It is very harsh.. If you look, when Torres goes down, the defender immediately realises that Torres is on the floor.. another indication that it was a pure accident.

You can get booked for accidental tackles.. like if you went to tackle the ball, but mis-time it, and get the player.. you can get booked for that. .but this player is not even looking at Torres, he's eyes is at the ball.. therefore I disagree with the referee.

I admire Torres, i think he's one of the best finishers in the world. He's still rusty, and not 100% fit, but he took advantage of that trip and made it look worse than it seemed.

we agree that it was acidnetal foul. It wasnt a dive eventho that url makes it look like it is. Tores gets cliped which makes him kick himself. We also agree it is a very ahrsh yellow tho they are given in those situation cos he was edge of the box running in and the ball would have been passed to him had he not fell. But we must take into account that the same player had to have been sent of before that.

The referees mistake does not justify a poor decision being converted to a yellow.

Like I said earlier ref was terrible ..! And that was the only thing worthy of complains..!
to begin with, He carded challenges which weren't quite card worthy, then in order to not loose total control of the match by sending off too many players, he turned the blind eye to some rash( card-necessary) challenges..! Then again to make up for those non-calls made stupid decision to card Strada on an accidental collision..! & I don't believe Torres made meal of that either, it was quite natural thumble going at that pace and tripping over one-self..!
Overall Spainards were the far better side who were unlucky not have beaten chile by more goals and at the end of the day the two best teams in the group in the right order progressed to the next level..!
I don't see what's all the crying is all about..!??
