Uruguay has a very strong attack (Forlan,Suarez), and a solid defense.

However, they don't have a strong midfield, so if Ghana can remain organized at the back and play aggressive, I see them pulling off a victory.

That's a very good observation (I am watching the game now).
.... At the end I am nothing other than ordinary

jeeez what a dramatic game! my heart!
IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.

Shameful act of cheating by Suarez at the end, which effectively cost Ghana a game they deserved to win.

I think FIFA rules are seriously F-ed. In that situation, the referee should have been able to award the 100% goal that was denied by Suarez.

It was pretty nasty...but given the circumstances, I would have done the same. What did Suarez have to lose?

I completely agree...Fifa rules needs to be revised.

Any ball heading to inside of goal stopped deliberately by hand specially when defenders stand on goal line to stop the ball, should be awarded as goal with the offender ejected from the pitch.

you guys need to learn the definition of cheating

what suarez did wasn't cheating. he was fully aware of the consequenses of his actions. it would have been cheating if he got away with it (ex: henry), 99.9% of all footballers in the world would have done the same thing if they were in the same position

I can't believe people are calling him a cheat...how the hell is a cheat?? That reaction came from the heart, it was a reflex reaction that kept his country in the game.

Anyone here would've done the same thing. Imagine you're on the line, it's the last second of the match, that ball is coming at you and going in, are you gonna stand and watch it go in? Or are you gonna gamble and give ur keeper a chance to keep u in the WC? Any sane person will choose the latter.

Saurez showed guts to do that because he could've been Uruguay's biggest villian, or he could've been their hero. He'll sleep easy tonight.

A player that doesn't try to save a sure goal with his hands at the end of a match should be fired. It's no more cheating than pulling down a sole attacker that would have a free shot on goal if he got by. You risk a red, but so what. A red is better than a goal against you at this level and at the end of extra time.

that red card was so worth it lol.
                          in all seriousness,
guys you must realize that although suarez did a hand ball and blocked a 100% goal, he got punished for it, he got a red card and ghana got a penalty! which is almost as good as a 100% goal. also uruguay lost one of its main penalty takers.

what suarez did any other player would do too considering the stakes at hand.

I am not saying he was cheating....i am saying the current rules need to be changed....The new rule will say if a ball is going inside the goal and it is stopped by hand the goal will count, which will be referee's call to deside if the ball was going in 100%.

if you are standing on goal line and save the ball (and you are not he goalie)....that should be considered 100% goal.

Penalty kick has a chance of being saved or missed and it is not a fair substitution for a 100% goal.

Is eliminating Ghana from world cup by stopping a 100% goal by hand, equal to Uruguay getting a red card and a PK?
