i wish all the moves would just happen soon and enough of this jerking the free agency around, sure it is huge..but its not good for the fans and gives teams false hope (these screwy ass free agency tours)

these deals should be done less-publicly, but there are a few diva's in this class lol

Johnson definitely not a max player, but there have been worse deals..and it seems Amare to the Knicks could happen soon

Fisher has got to understand that everyone even buss knows that he deserves 5 mil but Buss is not the nets owner and he is not even mark cuban. so the digits you gave make sense. and for 1.5 mil I dont think fisher will leave a championship team that he has a CLEAR role and respect in
I think it's the opposite. Fisher has got to understand that hes not worth $5 million just because of what he's done in the past. You should get paid on your present value and future potential. Fisher should get paid like a solid, above average back up point guard which is between 3-4 million and be happy. I'm guessing Blake will get at least as many minutes this year as Fisher will, whether he's coming off the bench or not.

The Lakers are looking to reduce costs, so I highly doubt DFish will get much more than $2.5 million. If Jackson is going to take a pay cut, then Fish will also have a pay cut. Most DFish will likely get is between 3- to 3.25 mill my friend.

As for Free Agents it all starts and ends with LBJ. Who knows now that NY has Amarie, that might just be enough to intice LBJ. Who knows he might end up back in Cleveland when it's all said and done, or Chicago, or Miami.

So far though not much happened. Joe Johnson is going to resign with the Hawks for a max contract 4 years $80 million, and Drik is looking to get anywhere from a 4-5 year no trade clause max contract with the Mavs. Wade might stay at Miami and possibly Bosh could come along but other than that I don't see any major changes happening.

I don't really know what I feel about the Steve Blake pick up. Is this the end of Jordan Farmar as a Laker? If that's the case , Is it worth losing a young up and coming guy to someone who is supposedly in his prime?

its for the same reason the league doesn't put a concrete def to MVP. Its all more talk. More TV shows more press which generates more interest and more money. Its all about MO MONEY!

Well babak you gotta pay attention to:
                1) Fisher can STILL do it. Which is why they want him to begin with. The lakers would have lost in 5 w/o fish. Kobe aid it best, without Fish they would have none of the 5 championships they have now. although I might disgree that they still woulda won the first one w/o him
                2) remember MJ's last 2 seasns of salary with da bulls? 33 mil and 36 mil per year and this was back in the 90s. The bulls were just paying him as an appreciation of what he had done prior to that. it should be the same with the lakers.

I have no doubt that the lakers won't win it again w/o fish. With hat said I think his minutes should be around 18-22 min per game while he mentors blake and once the playoffs start then they can start to use him 30 + minutes

Fisher is well worth full 5 mil. If that doesn't fk with the cap& etc..!
The dude is a rare breed of prime-time performer..!
Cobi is right about him all the way..! In play-off situation every good team need a player like him to avoid an unlucky exit..! LBJ could have certainly won a couple of rings already had he have a player of his winning mentality, steel nerves on his team..!
If LBJ wants to be considered in the same breath as Jordan, coby then he can't really share spotlight with players such as wade, rose or even bosh ..!
So that will leave only NY or staying put at Cleveland ..!
If all he wants is just a ring at any cost and didn't mind not being THE man then Heat & Bulls r his best options in that order..!

Yes it is the end of the Jordan Farmar and Shannon Brown era for the Lakers. Think about it from a business standpoint. Farmar and Brown both will get scraps if they stay on with the Lakers, but other teams will be willing to pay them a decent contract. Don't be surprised if each walk away with 4-5 million. That is why Steve Blake would be a perfect acquisition. Actually I think Steve Blake is more mature than Jordan Farmar but hey as an MSU fan I'm goin to miss downtown Shannon Brown.

I never really liked Farmar(sorry PersianBruin) because for every great shot he would have a stupid unforced turnover. You lose some explosiveness but you also gain some shooting.
He actually did you guys dirty by ditching UCLA so early. It probably would of done him a world of good to stay an extra year at college. Ben Howland didn't do much to keep him though he seemed content to let Farmar go, which makes me want to believe Farmar is more of an ahole ballhog. Hey that was the knock on his game at Taft high.
*Adam Morrison is also going to leave LA as well.

loooool at these people who say bosh and wade (among al the other heat players like beasley) are not enough to win a championship. all of this from the same people who were criticizing Kobe when he couldnt win with smush parker, Kwame brown, a rookie bynum/shaha V and the ever dominant center Chris Mihm
