you can believe what you want as for me, I know how smart Riles is. I also read in the previous reports that at the time the heat told him, they are not gonna sign anyone else until he makes a decision so they could offer him what he wanted.

I know being a warrir fan makes you not like fisher, but they were stupid to add a role player for 37 mill before having a real team. Dfish's role is clear and becasue of that only a handful of teams actually have use for him

Carlos Boozer to the Chicago Bulls, their front-court is looking great, alongside Noah they can do some big-time damage, I actually think a hot favourite like Miami is gonna have some major front-court issues...especially against duos like Bynum/Gasol, Noah/Boozer, Chandler/Bargnani jk, but Chandler deal fell through (pretty pissed)

so far off the top of my head, this season

      Maggette to Bucks
      David Lee to Golden State
Stoudemire, Anthony Randolph, Azbuike, Turiaf to NYK
      Bosh and James to Miami
      Boozer, Reddick, Korver to Chicago
      Al Jefferson to Utah
Barbosa - Turkoglu deal (please confirm it soon BC!!!)
      Al Harrington to Denver
      Go Cows!

On the D.Fisher issue there is no ****n way I believe anyone offered him higher than the league minimum.

in that case the lakers would have stuck with their offer of 2.5 mil for one year instead of 3.5 per year for 3 years.

probably Fisher said he will leave for Miami if they offer only 2,5 for one year.

Chandler to Dallas is a good one if he stays healthy but the Mavs sucked in Free Agency. The promised to get supporting cast for Dirk but failed.

Fisher is like an oil filter of a Ferrari. Its obvious not many people have use him. But certain elite teams do and you really want him for his services after the second round of the playoffs, you when some players even stars start to choke.

oh gee, who would have ever thought shaq leaves too many burned bridges behind him

With the Heat after veteran players on the cheap looking for a ring, some have surmised Shaquille O'Neal could be a fit for the team, even though his past relationship with the team is a little rocky.

But Michael Wallace of the Miami Herald is here to say there's no way Shaq is coming to Miami.

"Let's make one thing very clear here: Miami isn't one of those teams," he wrote. "There is absolutely no interest in a Shaq reunion from the Heat's side. Even if the burned bridges didn't exist, it just wouldn't be a good fit.

"The last thing the Heat needs is a lane-clogging, ball-hogging presence in the paint. The first thing Shaq would want is his share of touches to feel involved in the process."
We'll counter and say Shaq's attitude in Cleveland was deferential to LeBron James. There was no ball-hogging from Shaq. He was there to help LeBron win a championship and largely minded his own business otherwise.

If he kept that same style in Miami, it shouldn't be a problem.

But if the Heat have no interest, as Wallace writes, then Shaq likely isn't coming to Miami.

                .

But I still think shaq is a good fit for backing up andrew bynum

My thoughts ecactly. Fish just takes it to another level in pressure situation when most athletes crumble. His coast to coast against Boston in the TDGarden changed the series. He's battle tested and a veteran who can keep everyone in line. He is Kobe's right hand man OG#6 DFish back in the day. He will be missed after these two years.

I see Fish as a head coach one day he has a high basketball IQ and everyone respects the guy. PB the chances of Shaq comming back to LA are about the same as Pete Carroll being welcomed back to USC to coahc again. BTW Kobe Bryant is really showing some maturity putting aside his differences, and recruiting Raja Bell. He along with Steve Blake will be two solid acquisitions for us. Oh and in the summer league Character is just killing it for us and Evans is doin a good job as well.

utah gave him 10 mil for 3 years. THe lakers weren't going to pay him more than 1.8 mil per year so he went to utah but that combined with shannon brown not being able to get anywhere else might mean that he will be back with the lakers and that is very good!

btw, lol at Kahn timberwolves president. No wonder that team sucks!! Listen to the entire thing

Lol at lebron, trying to compare himself to Kobe. Love'em or hate'em, Kobe Injects that confidence in his teammates that no matter what, we are gonna pull through. When your teammates are hitting thress, they have to know in the back of their minds, their "leader" is there for them and is gonna do whatever it takes. That gives you the confidence to make shots. This IS a mental game especially in the playoffs This is why steve kerr, john paxson, ron artest and sasha vuijcic make shots. people keep saying 6-24. He had 15 rebounds (for a guard against that boston team that was huge!) and he had 10 points in the 4th quarter when the lakers made a comeback and he knew when to go for it and when to pass it. now if Lebron wants to lie to himself thats good for him but bottom line is his teammates were good enough to win 66 games. Kobe's teammates won 57. Why is it all of a sudden that in the playoffs Kobe's were all hall of famers and Lebron's tanked? Its becasue a true leader ( the best in the game) elevates everyone else's game along with himself.

...As James pointed out in his welcome-to-Miami event on July 9, Bryant made only 6 of his 24 shots in Game 7 of the finals against Boston, which his Los Angeles Lakers won anyway for their second straight NBA title.

“He knew he had help and guys came through for him,” James said last week of Bryant’s Game 7 showing in the finals.........

persianbruin calm down me . ***hti hamaro ba Kobe Bryant. Everyone knows he is great. Thats why he won 2 rings himself without shaq and shutted down all his critics. But no need to put hate on other players. I think Lebron is the best complete player in this league and now he has the chance to show that he can win titles too. Dont fool yourself you know better than me that his cleveland team was to weak to win a title. No one of them is nearly a Gasol or even Odom. So lets see what happened this year.

I'm happy Lebron went to Miami , proving once and for all that he isn't even in Kobe's league. No one will ever remember the supposed won championship's , as Lebron's . So the greatest player to grace the basketball court today, both ability wise and loyalty wise? Kobe Bryant.
I never disagreed with that. Kobe Bryant is currently the best player in the NBA and one of the best of all time.... and about ur "history has proven"....yeah 3 years ago the Celtics won the championship bud. because of the 3 all-stars they had, Garnett, allen, Pierce... they had nobody else....a rookie rondo ? an inexperienced team ?
There is no doubt Miami will be a contender. Lebron made a team of dusters a contender, and now he has 2 other amazing players who are amongst the best in the league beside him

when I argue about Kobe it is not really about Kobe. Its about all the fluff people make up. One of my students said the other day that he met Kobe when he was here in town 2 weeks ago and he was the nicest guy and I said, I dont care if he is nice or not. Idont like him cuz he should win nobel peace prize . I like him cuz of his basketball skills and his overall attitude towards the game. Outside of the court I could care less who he is.

Yet you didnt mention any of it until oneil went to miami Now all of a sudden you are a huge dwade fan! ok there are a whole lot of band wangoners here to yeki ham roosh!

as for the celts you cant even compare the two situations. 1) That team had a deep bench. James Posey and eddie house made many key 3 point shots. Rondo was good enough and Leon powe/ kendrick perkins tandem was too tough for oppenents inside the paint (defensively) and the big three were all veterans with a lot of expeience.

                                2) They didnt have to beat anyone really good. The lakers were without bynum and a healthy ariza and gasol had been with the team for less than 4 months. I am not a bball coach but anyone who understands the triangle offense says it takes a year to master. YOu are now looking at a laker teamn that is 2 time defensing champion and just added more toughness/tenacity/ defense and attitude to its team. If (thats big if) Bynum stays healthy for the playoffs nobody will have even a chance.

But dont get me wrong once miami gets more players and Kobe gts older they will win a fw championships. Thats of course if the current OKC roster doenst add a legit big to their team
