the possession is expected to be dominated by the Spanish, so Holland have to be very wise with the little possession they get.
their DMs are more physical than the germans, and contribute less to their attacks, so their front 4, must be on fire and get the best of given opportunities.
here are some things:
- Van Bommel to destroy and kick everyone, breaks up the play but yet not be cautioned
- De Jong to do with VB does, and makes sure Xavi sees little of the ball
- Robben to run @ Capdevilla, who is Spain's weakest defender.
- Sneijder to draw fouls outside of the box, forcing Sergio and Alonso to foul him, as him and Robben are free kick specialists.
- Kuyt to help as a 3rd DM as Spain will dominate possession, and doesn't let Ramos get forward.
- RVP to have his best game of the tournament, and Stelekenburg to do better with long range shots of likes of Villa and Alonso...
if all that happens, Netherlands stand a good chance of winning their first WC

all those points are very good except i dont trust de jong and van bommel to be able to do nearly enough. you also forgot van persie is fk specialist too, although his last one went miles oves.

What they could do is make a diagnol run then cross it in and hope that puyol messes up his header and hits it off piques back at which point the ball deflects in to the goal. They could draw a foul cross it in and hope it hits of alonso shin into his own goal, or they could just whip it in there and hope cassilas comes running out and misses it and hits of busquets head and goes in. there are many ways they can score. They have to realistically score very individual goals.

Im supporting spain this game cos i really beelive they deserve it. Both these countries deserve a wc, but the current spain team is really a golden generation whereas the dutch ahve the potential to be huge but they are nothing compared to past dutch sides.

tbh, Van Bommel is talented...to kick every single player in the game, commit 34234234 fouls in 6 games, and only get one yellow card is a talent.

the way he hides from his challenges and kicks is a real talent.

that's what is so unfair about the 2 yellow card.

Thomas mueller who by no means, is a dirty player missed a WC SEMI FINAL, because of 2 retarded yellow cards in 7 hours of play.

disagree, although holland is a solid team, spain will win this. just like today's game, spain will control the possession and create much more chances and pull out with the win. and you know what happens when i predict something! almost always comes true

i think holland is going to win. this team is so different compared to the previous dutch teams. Much more opportunistic.

This will be a very interesting game, because Holland ALWAYS wants to dominate, play far from their goal, have ball possession and put pressure on their opponents, no matter against which team they play.

Basically the same as Spain in the past few years. So I'm very curious to see which one of the 2 will back down. Overall I think Spain is stronger, so I think they'll force Holland to move back, even though I can't remember the last time any team doing that to Holland...
