LeBron James has rented six cabanas at the W Hotel South Beach this weekend to celebrate his team decision, two sources confirm to UsMagazine.com.

That adds more fuel to the fire that James, 25, will announce he's joining the Miami Heat Thursday night, as several insiders told ESPN this morning. (He's still confirmed to attend NBA star Carmelo Anthony's Saturday-night wedding to former MTV VJ LaLa Vazquez in NYC.)

The basketball great will make his announcement from the Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich, Conn. Thursday night during an hourlong sports special called The Decision, to be aired on ESPN at 9 P.M. ET. Proceeds from commercial sales will be donated to the club.

Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight;

As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.

This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his "decision" unlike anything ever "witnessed" in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.

Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.

The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.

There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.

You simply don't deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.

You have given so much and deserve so much more.

In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:

"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE"

You can take it to the bank.

If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our "motivation" to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.

Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.

Sorry, but that's simply not how it works.

This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown "chosen one" sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And "who" we would want them to grow-up to become.

But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called "curse" on Cleveland, Ohio.

The self-declared former "King" will be taking the "curse" with him down south. And until he does "right" by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.

Kobe basically rail roaded shaq and forced him out of the lakers. He *****ed and whined and almost signed with the clippers! To say that lebron james aint classy and Kobe mother effing bryant is shows that your an NBA fan that probly watches like 4 games a year.


I respect lebron jame's decision. He got jack shit in cleveland. He was coached by one of the worst coaches in the nba (mike brown) and he was constantly saddled with ball hogging guards who had the basketball iq of a chicken (larry hughes, jeff mcinnis). The only player that was any good for the cavs was anderson varejo as a grinder. The rest were bums. He got tired of losing, simple.

And if any of you guys start *****ing about this move, im gonna ask you one simple thing: say tomorrow a executive in your line of work comes up to you and says you can work with 2 of your best friends in a great city and achieve more success than you have ever dreamed of, would ANY of you guys say no? Yes , Kobe did whine and cry during the Shaq era ,but when the Lakers were going through a re-building process , he didn't pack his bags and leave when he had the chance to. Yes, he did state he wanted to be traded but later decided against it.

Bottom line the game of basketball isn't about BEST FRIENDS and childs play. You want to build a legacy for yourself as the best ever? You cannot do that if you don't win a championship while being the CENTERPIECE of your team. LJ will cement NOTHING as the ANYTHING of the basketball world. We have great players who have won championships such as Parrish , McHale , Pierce , Garnett & Allen to name a few. Even Kobe during the Shaq days. The championships they won will be always judged based on the key stars they had around them and not the work of a superstar surrounded by role players. Like it or not , Lebron made easily the dumbest decision one can make. His numbers will go down , His popularity will decrease & he will never be remembered as a center piece to a championship team.Not neccessarily his fault , he was absorbed with playing with stars & winning rings but nonetheless , we will have to wait and see.

wow, I am reading different articles on different websites and people are totally trashing Lebron. I can't beleive I am saying this but I actually feel bad for him.

and just for the record, people are pissed becasue of the way he handled it not for going to Miami. Going to Miami is a different story which in a way is Lebron's admission that I couldn't do it as top dog and I dont want the chanllenge to be the top dog. I remmber I was listnening to Fred Rogan on radio when John Ireland came on and said Kobe just agrred to stay a laker and al of that ONLY becasue Jerry Buss promised him players like Elton brand that the clippers had and the lakers didnt.
