How will 2010 world cup in South Africa be remembered?

what are your thoughts about this world cup?

i think it was one of the worst, up to par with 2002

    cons:

    - Vuvuzelas

    - Worst ball in history (Jabulani)

    - Bad officiating, controvertial calls

    - Bad weather

    - Not many big name teams and some of the big names didnt go far, therefore easier opponents for others

    - bad security and disorganized (feedback from people who visited)

    pros:

    - 2 new contenders for championship, spain and holland have a chance to lift their first ever cup

    - more competition from smaller teams

yea i think this was the worst world cup in a while i mean watching the games some referees called everything a foul and others barely called fouls. Also i dont understand why they would put it in a place where its cold in the summer as its in the southern hemesphere. Hopefully brazil 2014 will be better and with iran in it.

Yea all the negatives u mentioned ..!+ piss poor pitch quality, half empty stadiums with too many football-stupid fans attending especially the african ones..!
Yet a very suspenseful, unpredictable and exciting play-off rounds with surprising results & odd outsiders making a name for themselves..!

      Overall.,.. I give it a "C" grade..!
      Which is what I expected..!

This world cup will be tainted by the sheer number of appalling decisions made by match officials.

Very unmemorable like 1990 and 2002.

1990 was great, even though i hated the ending how argentina cheated italy to get to the final, but the overal world cup was good....thats where the unknown teams like cameroon started emerging

yeh the franch drama and the ghana penalty will be the only things remembered unless something happens in finals like another headbutt. Even then those are not that big. next world cup is going to be unreal.

This World Cup will be remembered for Lampard's goal that never was.

lol, true. many of the so-called 'big players' were unbelievably crap.
