Well deserved.
Even after they lost the first game, I never would write them off. Any team which has the masterlass of Xavi and Iniesta should never be ruled out. When you have these two, you will get chances, and in David Villa, they had a poacher who got the vital goals.
Before the final, Xavi completed 570 passes.. wow.. thats one every 95 minute.. Speechless.I've learnt it's not what you have in your life, but who you have in your life that counts

Firstly, the officials had a decent game. I thought the Dutch were lucky with the first-half tackles they made. I'm sure the plan was to stiffle the Spanish midfield, and be 'aggresive', however they went over the top. De Jong gave a karate kid, and in another group game, it would have been a sending off?? Van Bommel conceded so many bookable offence, how he stayed on beyond me? I thought Howard Webb did make minimal mistakes, but got the KEY decisions right (sending off, Robben cheap penalty appeal, Xavi penalty appeal etc).
As a neutral to the game I thought instead of sitting on the fence I would just choose a team to make it interesting. I began the game hoping Holland would win, but by half time I wanted Spain to win as the Dutch tactics were simply disgraceful. Howard Webb had no choice but to dish out bookings left, right and centre as some of the tackles flying in were horrendous. Holland could have had 2 or three men sent off and then the likes of Dirk Kuyt and Van Marwijk have the audacity to come out and complain about the referee's performance, its disgusting.
The mistake was from Dutch Free-kick, in which he gave a goal-kick. It was a clear corner, and Spain scored two minuts after that.. However, you can't blame the goal on something that happened 100 yards away? Surely not.
Blaming the officials is a bitter and ugly taste. England got humiliated by Germany, and we had a CLEAR goal dissalowed. It would've been 2-2 by half-time and god knows what would've happened after, however, we accepted that Germany were SUPERIOR in every department.
Similar today, Spain had much better of the possesion, pass success rates, and more chances created. They looked like a team that wanted to win. Created a handful of chances. Don't get me wrong, Holland have played a part, they had a good run, and created chances, but the lack of cohesion and attacking force made them lose. They defended too deep at times, and were scared to attack. If they took the game to Spain, then they would've got MUCH more success.
Anyhow, Spain deserved it.I've learnt it's not what you have in your life, but who you have in your life that counts

the ref gave FAR easier yellow card to holland than to spain. Iniesta shoulda gotten yellow in the first half as well. Xavi continously asking for bookings, joone madaret give him yellow. he shoulda been booked for that as well. the imo one of the 2 yellow cards for Johnny Heitinga wasnt correct, since spain did the same and they didnt get anything.

Seriously?? Xavi got a booking for kicking the ball away, however Robben didn't get a yellow for scoring after being offside? Robben would've been sent-off...I've learnt it's not what you have in your life, but who you have in your life that counts

I know you're talking about the corner/free kick. i didnt say anything on that. The foul on Elia, it was pretty obvious to me
