at last but not least, everybody complains how nigel de jong shoulda gotten red after the kick on alonso, but how about the kick iniesta gave to Van Bommel in the first half, no ball intended, just a pure kick? In any book that's red, so to all the new spain fanboys out there, who traded in their brazilshirts and italy shirts and gotten a fake spain adihash shirt, think about that too before you open your mouth.

        Are you serious?
Iniesta got up and tripped Van Bommel. It wasn't a HIGH challenge, yes, i thought he should've been booked, but no way deserved a red.

Your getting the wrong impression. I'm not a fan of Spain, but I backed them to win. I support England, and despite their awful performances at World Cup, it doesn't mean im going to rout for Spain everytime now :S . I ain't like that.

          1) Well see for how stupid little shit Heitinga got a red card for. by the way dont forget, carles puyol coulda been sent off as well after he tripped robben while he was going for his 2nd run towards casillas. he didnt fall, but still a fould+yellow = 2nd yellow=red.

          here is the vid

That's not even a yellow??? you have got to be kidding me.

          2) not talking about you, talking in general.

Robben didn't fall over, therefore Puyol shouldn't have got a yellow. Referee got that spot on.

Thank you for posting the video, I already said Iniesta should've gotten a yellow.

but it was a foul, he obstructed him. Only because Robben didnt fall over it wasnt a foul? Wrong in many ways.

Nope bro. Robben took the advantage. Yes, he didn't score, but he took the advantage. Just because he didn't score, you cannot re-take the foul back few seconds earlier. If Robben wanted the free-kick, he should've fell over after Puyol tugged him.

No, it's not wrong in many ways.

again wrong. Sure he took the advantage, but how many times do you see the ref give a yellow card, AFTER the advantage was taken. player gets kicked down really harsh, his teamplayer gets the ball and continues, ball goes out for corner, ref comes back and gives a yellow card to the guy who fouled him. Happens at least 20 times a season....

iniesta dived to get that dutch player a 2nd yellow and that goal never would have happend if the ref would have called a friggen corner kick instead of a goal kick when it deflected off of fiberglass

dont say its justice for spain.. cuz holland has been to the dance three times now and never ever won.. this is spains first time in the final.. EVER/ hollland has won their last 25 matches. undefeated in qualifying.. no team that lost their first game at the wc came back to win.. except now.. i feel bad for the dutch.. this is not justice.. but horrible luck for holland

Congragulations to Spain but that game was so boring, I fell asleep in the second half of the game. Another dud 1-0 yay! Spain had the best team with David Villa, Toorrez, Fabregas(spelling), Xabi, Xavi Alonso(spelling) etc vs Holland's big 3 of Snyjder(spelling), Robbin, and Van Persy(spelling). God I hate European names they are so dam hard to spell.

Spain's tactic of keep away worked well once again. Spain goes from, as early as three years ago, a tournament choker to winning the Euro and the World Cup. At first I wanted Holland to win but they dive too much and that team is better than that.

As for decisions: Both the heitinga cards were correct. That youtube clip you showed shows only one of the times where van bommel should have got a 2nd yellow eventhough his first was POSSIBLY worthy of a red card, but i agree iniesta had to be booked for that, and if it had hapened 10years ago it would have been straight red for retaliation, dunno whats happened to that rule. But de jongs challenge was a debatable red card eventho clarence seedorf admited he was very lucky not to be off. Sneijders challenge for me should have been a red but at least a yellow and not given. I agree puyol should have been of but in the modern game its not given unless you go over and it was clear that robben wanted the advantage cos hes the kinda player who would squeal like a whore when brushed against if he wants. The challenge on elijah when fabregas blocked him of could have been given i admit altho elija was not going to get to the end of it.

From a neutral point of view, eventho i was fully supporting spain, you have to say howard webb gave horrible decisions both ways but hollland definitely got the much better of them overall.

Also how can you argue that holland deserve to win it cos its their third time, their first two times their teams were hailed as some of the best to have ever graced mankind whereas the holland of today was just a very good side and nothing more. This spain side doesnt matter if this was bahrain with shit/no history, they deserved 100%, by far the best team of the tornament imo and the best players and even players like cruyf etc admited that spain deserve it more for playing the football they played.

Barcelona trio (Villa, Puyol and Iniesta) scored all Spain's 8 goals in this tournament. I bet Morinho is too concerned now.

I would also like to extend my contralations to Spain.
