from the video is seems he's a cb or safety. they are usually not that big, but rather rely on their quickness and ability to read the play.

And The BC Lion won the grey cup like in 2006 against montreal and the year after they were in the final also but they lost . He plays as a CB and He used to play in Vanier college I think I'm not sure but then he continued his career in University of Montreal
Playing CB is probably in my book the toughest position on defense to play and here is why. I started out as a CB my junior year but I had decent speed not blazing speed for a CB. I tacked on 25 pounds to bump up from 5'10 180 to 6f' 210 in the off season, and they put me in at ROLB(Right outside linebacker).

As a CB you are on the field like everyone else, but in reality it's like you are on your own island. The average wide receiver has an advantage over the average CB because the WR knows what route to run. You also really need to learn fast how to read the quarterback so you can pick off his passes. The only thing that really helped me become a good LB is because I learned how to read the quarterback as a CB.

Well best of luck to your friend and keep us updated with his season. One day I would like to coach high school football. I honestly think that young Iranian Americans can thrive in American football because you don't necessarily need to be a giant. If you have speed, and most Iranians do, you are golden to play a skilled position like WR, Quarterback or RB. Football helped me out with discipline and I would love to help some young Iranian kid one day and coach.

Tell me about it and my college football team is Michigan State.(at least we are now a decent Big 10 top four team) Hey Raiders might actually go 7-9 or 8-8 and be at least a respectable team. As for Detroit they are not even in rebuilding mode they are like in pre rebuilding mode. I like Matt Stafford last year though that was a solid pick. I would watch Bo Jackson and Barry Sanders as a kid so that is how I ended up following Raiders and Lions.

If Bo Jackson didn't get injured, he would of probably had the greatst career at RB. I was there in LA when Bo Jackson got injured against Cincinatti.

[QUOTE=PouriaAkaBarut;1620822]He is a friend of mine , He got drafted picked in the 3round #20 by the BC Lions . I remember we used to play soccer together a lot and I remember he had some mad cardio he was running all over there filed even thogh he was still clubbing and stuff lool . Its a bit late news but Congrats to him .

Hey thnx for the post and the video of ur friend i used to be starting QB in highschool but i had problems seeing over the O line because im only 5'8.. just out of curiosity do you know what his 40 time is? (his 40-yard dash time its a popular measurement in Football and a perfct indicator of his speed) I think his time must be like 4.5 cuz he needs to make up for being a little too short but he is deff not too small for a CB people that say that dont know football!

NO! A 4.5 is considered slow my friend by football standards. I could run a 4.5 and I was considered just average but of course in So Cal and in Southern Florida we are faster, but even at the CFL level a 4.5 for a cornerback is horrible.

BTW I am jealous of you I never had an arm to be a quarterback. I could chuck it 50 yards and I'm accurate but our starting QB was 6'6 250(solid muscle) and he could hurl it 75 yards his 40 time was a 4.4 He took a full scholarship to Oregon but he sat next to Joey Harrington. He was such a good athlete though he started for Mike Bellotti(SP) as Oregon's middle linebackr.

If you were my height 6f you would of been perfect. So what kind of an offense did you guys run? We ran your traditional west coast offense at Crescenta Valley High and went 12-1 our senior year losing to Hart 17-14 in the Division 2 finals. They had a young quarterback by the name of Kyle Boller you might know him as the former starter for the NFL Baltimore Ravens and a Cal Berkley standout.

I just can't watch the CFL...
too few teams... you play the same team 50 times each season.
