Um... our coach is brain dead.
The best two players in Iran are Kazemi and Haddadi. They are both inside players but Iran makes minimal effort to get the ball to them inside the paint.
Iran plays so one dimensional that it's sad. We actually have chance of winning this game, brazil is sloppy as hell and we are getting lucky, but seriously.

shhhiitt i forgot about this! Didnt get to watch the game but i guess a decent result without nikkah and afagh. Basically we have two good players in haddadi and kazemi and is kamrani playing hes pretty good too. Croatia our next opponent lost by 40 to u.s so hopefully he can play better and get a win.

kazemi is too young and needs time to develop. this was his first game with the sr. national team and he did well. it was obvious he was nervous at the start but settled down in the second. still has ways to go, especially with his dribbling!
overall i can write a bit about the game but i'd rather not lol. one thing though, kamrani needs to stop trying to do too much!!! seriously there is no system in our offense whatsoever and him just dribbling around himself doesn't help the situation!!

This kid is hard. When he goes at the rim, it's like Moses parting the Red Sea. I am so gods damn pissed at how this kid was pretty much excluded from team plans. I mean Hamed is good, but the guy is 7''4 and you can't expect him to carry every play on offense and defense. There is just so much stamina in one player and you could see today by the late 3rd Q , hamed was running out of breath.
However , together Kazemi and Hamed in the paint could wreck anyone.
Also I agree with you on the Kamrani guy. he looks like a high school point guard that just runs fast to the basket and hopes for the best.

i completely disagree.. kazemi is the greatest asset to this team after haddadi. kazemi isnt playing his normal 3 guard position.. ive gone to every Rice home game this season and i can tell you how effective he can be in the paint, he is one of a kind in the NCAA. he's playing out of position and thats where you see a lack of "effectiveness". and Arsalans dribbling? come on, he's like a 6' 8 point guard moving up and down the court. at rice he sometimes runs it up and destroys the rim
