even with nikkah or afagh i dont think we would have won we just dont have the mentality. Just like in the olympics were afraid of bigger teams that we would maybe be able to beat but yet we wreck in asia.

someone PLEASE tell kamrani to stop thinking he can blow by his defender and get a layup everytime!

Iran Point guards were the reason we were blown out. Too many bad decisions on their part

me too, he can play like this every quarter.. but the coach is playing him out of position. i think this is the turning point and by this game he's realized arsalan isn't effective in his game plan. arsalan is a straight natural three guard.

Talent is one thing, having dicipline and being in the right position and making the right decision is another.

Arsalan has shown he is very well coached and has the IQ to play this game at the highest level even more so than Hamed. As good as Hamed is, part of it is becasue of his height. Arsalan kept making the right decision and played with his Brain. I would love to catch some Rice home games!

i wouldn't say he's a natural 3, he's more of a 4/somewhere inbetween (hakim warrick for example). he's more effective in the paint but he has more of an athletic SF frame.
i do agree though, the coach doesn't utilize him very well and our guards (all of them) don't get him the ball. seems like none of our guards seem to know how to get him involved either.

is the game over? where can i watch the game? i dont see it on espn3

EDIT: nevermind i found the final recap http://turkey2010.fiba.com//pages/en...4728/game.html

without bahrami and afagh we cant do shit, besides haddadi and kazemi no one else is doing much, people play 20+ min without scoring a basket or putting up any stats. like someone said these are great street ballers and college players at best, they are not pro level basketball players yet

Wish I could coach this team, even tho I dont know much about basket ball, I think I could greatly improve them.

The fact that i can even say this, says a lot about the quality of professionalism in our management.

same team as this tournament for the most part. basically the same quality of play as that time as well.
