In both games played by host country Turkey, dancers were forbidden from even coming out on the court.

Arsalan looks to be the future of Iranian basketball at the moment. The best NBA comparison I can think of right now for him is Jonas Jerebko on the Pistons, an athletic utility SF that can do a little bit of every thing.

The thing that has caught my eye the most about him is how many steals he continues to get each game.

we shot 14 percent from the arc against the usa. embarrasing...considering the open looks we had

Embassy staff or relatives is my guess...
and all of them will be watching those girls on youtube after the game ....

my bad i didnt realize u were being sarcastic

but yea arsalan has great hands, he would've done alot better if he had more support from rest of the team, i really wished we could see him and samad bahrami play side by side, they seem to be able to complement each other. I dont really know what the deal was with samad, i havent seen him on the bench in street clothes or nothing, i really hope he didnt quit the team cuz if he did i have lost all respect for him.

god damn this team man...we take sooooooooooooo fukkin long to score a basket...its just dribbling and passing around to run the clock then take a stupid shot

we def. need an american coach, this european style aint working for us

they kinda remind me of our football team right now

wow... we scored 6 points in the quarter. that was painful to watch

I swear.. if they just went to LA and had open tryouts for iranian americans, they could find some better players than these guys.

i just dont know what this game plan is...what are they looking for?? someone take a damn shot and stop this stupid dangerous passing like ur playing on playground

seriously these guys would probably be good AND 1 players...they're not pros...thats the difference between our team and the rest of the world

we def. need more of our big guys in, idk why agains US we used our small guys, they're useless...and they keep sliding on the floor like its slippery

kardoost is not that great but he has size, he needs to go to the basket more aggressive and protect the ball better, he makes it easy for others to block him. Nabipour also had a decent start against US yesterday but he never came back on.
