According to a report on Sky Sport, Serie A giants Milan are on the verge of signing Brazilian international Robinho from Manchester City. The report claims that the Rossoneri will announce the transfer on Tuesday.

Milan have been pretty active on the transfer market in the past couple of days and secured the services of Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Barcelona on Saturday.

The Italians apparently aren't done on the transfer market yet though and have now set their sights on Robinho.

The Rossoneri are reportedly very close to signing the 26-year-old attacker on a one-year loan deal with the option to make the move permanent after one season. Powerful striker Marco Borriello could move to Eastlands as part of the deal.

Robinho joined Manchester City from Real Madrid in the summer of 2008, but he failed to make an impact at the Citizens after a good start with the Premier League side.

The tricky attacker was farmed out on loan to Santos in the past six months and now appears to be on his way out of City again, with Milan being his next destination.

It's Official, robinho is signed!! and borriello to Roma! great news!

Milan turned their attack from above average to arguably the best attack in Europe, by spending 39 million only. That's what I call damn good business.

Are they really going to flip it arround that quickly on one guy? To me Robinho is a good signing but well with him and Ibrahimovich that will be a formidable attack. The defense can't zoom in on both players they kind of need to pick their poision.

13 + 13 + 13 = 39 million.. we did spend 39 million, we no longer have huntelaar or borriello.

                      EDIT: here here here,

Ibra is 24m and Robinho 18m so it is around 42m..
But still, with 42m we can land 2 top players is a damn good business yeah.

                      so many combo's

                      This.

                      Odu-Ibra-Dinho
                      Inzaghi-Ibra-Dinho

Without Robinho in case Dinho is not available

                      Pato-Ibra-Inzaghi

Milan's only defensive issues last season was depth, which we solved with the Yepes and Sokratis signings. We have on the right we've got Bonera as a defensive asset, Abate as a young, skillful asset, and Zambrotta as an experienced asset. Also, Sokratis can play on the right with ease. On the left, we've got the speedy and tough Antonini, who formed a great link with Ronaldinho on the left last season. We've got Zambrotta to cover him, and in the worst cases, Jankulovski.

Milan's weakness point is that when there's no Pato, there's no speed and there's rarely any goals. For a mere 15 million we got a fast, tricky, proven attacker and goal scorer, who will provide cover for both Pato, who's injury plagued, and Ronaldinho, who catches a flu twice a season at the least. It is a much needed signing, and will prove its worth as the season passes by.
