    wow some shocking scenes.
the idiot fans would look straight at the cops and throw flares into them.
right at the end the cops keep beating the guys against the wall when the guys are defenceless..that was awful basiji style.
but this scene really hurt me why the fvk would serbs do this to the italian cop.( i think its a cop)

come back and talk when ur team wins anything...if ur team is anyone but brazil you have nothing to say. even if u compare brazil and italy, with national team and league history combined, italy comes on top. So kill the non-sense aziz

anyone know the outcome?? UEFA was suppose to decide yesterday...i believe they're giving a 3-0 win to italy and serbia has to play 3 home games without fans, italy possibly gets 2 matches without fans cuz they didnt handle the situation good enough.....but still its not confirmed 100%

I'm giving u the sarcasm, since you get so mad with the slightest of criticism towards Italian NT. You're a fan, we all get it. Yet, the member is clearly joking, and you jump to the defense. You've been giving me a hard time for claiming that I divert from the topic, yet you always come up with stats that benefit your argument. How can someone combine league and NT stats..that's absurd! Italian league was prob. the best league in the 90's and earlier when $$ and players were being pumped in, many foreign players played in the league and still do. Club teams and NT are two separate things altogether, look at England, which has one of the better leagues but has a bad NT.

Italian NT has 4 WC's (one PK WC), but if you throw European Championships (which is NT and not club team) into the equation, Germany is comparable to Italy, esp given Germany's current status vs. Italy's current status. And that's comparing NT to NT, not combining leagues..

Yet, I don't want to argue with you, hence the since I don't want to flood the thread with back and forth replies since it's useless.

slightest criticism? ya cuz its pathetic when people continually try to downplay a super power in football, especially at a time where they're going thru hard times due to financial problems and other politics.

i like how u throw in one PK world cup, so didnt brazil also win a PK world cup and isnt germany the king of winning PK in knockout rounds?

euro championships ya germany has 3 and italy has 1 one senior side (thats about the only higher stat germany has on italy), but have u had a chance to check out youth U-21 euro championships? italy leading with 5 and germany has like 2 so ya throw stats around and still italy is on top, theres no point in arguing that.

and u CAN combine NT and leagues when ur talking as a whole because the leauge is the foundation of the national team. Alot of these brazilians and argentinians develop their youth from european leagues and therefore they have better national teams. Sure they have a good league too but obviously not as strong as europe.

All I'm saying is no reason to get so defensive. You obviously are a fan, and will always see it through that perspective. You can skew the picture anyway you want it by adding/subtracting stats suitable to your argument. If the league is a true indicator of a country's football status, England should be rocking it. Also, we should consider the UAE a super-power in Asia, since they have a relatively solid league, with pretty good foreigners, and a few ACL titles, right? In Europe, there is a constant see-saw of who's better between 3-4 teams, and to say Italy is the undisputed heavyweight champ is biased, that's all I'm saying. Everyone also has excuses for poor performance. Ask a Liverpool fan, and he'll give you a hand full. Liverpool is one of the best club teams historically.

Criticism doesn't always mean bashing so chill-out and let everyone be a fan of whatever team they want to be a fan of. I think democracy starts from little discussions like this and how people choose to handle it.

Also, you have to give Brazil props for giving birth to so much talent DESPITE a mediocre league. I think it's more of an accomplishment to have so many players scattered across Europe and have a headache for Selecao selection, than otherwise. Serie A loves Brazilians, and has embraced them unconditionally- look at all the Brazilians overstaying their welcome.

not necessarily, they wanted to play the game because its preparation for the euro and their new coach is still trying to make the new team gel together...no one is really happy about the outcome, i know im not i would prefer a real win rather than one handed to them. cassano and other italian players were begging stankovic and krasic to tell their fans to calm down so they can play the game.

The best soccer team ever "was" West Germany which won the World Cup three times and finished runners up three times plus a 3rd-place finish between 1954 and 1990. No other team has six World Cup final match appearances in 36 years.
