I didn't see an NHL thread in the available three pages on this board, so I thought I'd make one. I know that there are some Canadians on this board so there must be at least a couple of fans.
The Kings are looking good so far this year with some exceptional goalie play from Quick, although I'm hoping to see some more Bernier in the net sometime soon. He will hopefully supplant Quick as well.
I'm also hoping that Schenn keeps up his good work, receive a significant boost in playing time and can maybe make it as the 2nd line center this year. I expect Kopitar to hit his breakout year and Doughty (if he can pick things up) to win the Norris. Kings will make it to the second round of the POs this year at least, barring any significant injuries.
For the Pacific it looks to be the Stars and the Kings at the top (with what little of the season we have seen thus far) with the Sharks and Coyotes hoping to intermittently insert themselves into the race (although I figure the Stars will eventually falter). Are the Sharks looking to rebuild or something? I know fans were very upset with their most recent and *expected* choke job last year.
Any other comments or fans? If this thread already exists and I missed it, please delete it or combine it, mods.
