    .

dude hameds stats are misleading, averaging 2pts/game in 5 min. is efficient considering how sporadic his playing time is. Also alot of games he would play under 2 min. which hardly gives u a chance to put up any stat and thats by some veterans in the league. compare hamed's stats to even gasol in 2 min and hamed would be better.

I agree with babak that some teams do their homework cuz they have lots of scouts out there. They look at things in perspective and they consider what hamed's going thru with the big man situation in memphis and how efficient he is, plush his internationa success. So yes someone who has followed him like we have knows what he's capable of and being in his mid 20s in a league with center shortages he can be capable of earning that money or at least half of it.

Mark Madsen, Ronny Turiaf and Smush Parker are among names who were somebody when played with Kobe and became nobodies when they left the team. Talking about making players around you better!

When I heard Miami was giving smush 5 mil! I almost fell off the chair from laughter He only lasted a few games before they cut him.To think that he was a "starter" with the lakers for two years!

I'm not comparing Hamed's stats to his abilities/potential. I'm comparing Hamed's stats to the players/salaries provided by Babak. You said yourself, this is a moot point.

When has Mark Madsen ever been worth a damn in the NBA? He's been a scrub since day 1 but somehow found his way on the bench.

Smush Parker actually had 1 decent year in Cleveland before coming to the Lakers in their dark years. The only reason he got kicked off the Heat was because of an off court incident he had, not because he sucked. His career took a shatter after that incident.

Turiaf actually had his best year in a Warriors uni AFTER leaving the Lakers, so your logic is flawed. How is he a nobody? He brings a ton of heart and energy off the bench. Sure he can't rebound to save his life but he plays good D and plays the game with enthusiasm.

You might as well bring up Slava Medvedenko and mention how Kobe aka GOD turned HIM into a good player too.

smush, nobody in the league wanted him even cleveland which is why he ended up with the lakers. and with Miami he wasnt doing anything. The off the court incident was just an excuse to get rid of him.

Yuriaf was much more valuable when with the lakers. I guess that one block he had against Kobe was his highlight with the warriors.

Madsen got good money from the wolves cause with the lakers he showed he could rough it up defensively but I guess he could ONLY do it with the lakers

as far as slava, very good example! But there are more I just dont feel like getting into everyone of them ( Brian cook, chris Mihm, deaven george, etc...)

            thats straight up :bs:

you have gotta be kidding me. dont be fooled by turriaf's numbers he has been one of the few players on this knicks team that has been performing well on a consistent basis. his presence means a ton to the team, he is one of those players that has a great impact without scoring by doing things off the ball and playing great defense. he was shit in la compared to what he is now.

grizzlies with another win tonight and houston lost so they are getting much closer to locking that 8th spot, for 7th spot they still have a chance but hornets won tonight too

haddadi played 1 min, got him self 1 reb and 1 field goal
he's prob the most efficient guy in nba

he finished with 2 mins, 1 pt and 1 reb. Memphis won too, looks like they're headed to the playoffs if they keep this up.

once they clinch play off birth (if they ever do) it would be a wise move for hollins to start haddadi to see how he can play when given such a role. it would be the perfect time to give him signifcant minuets and give hamed a shot to really make a statement

i don't think that's gonna happen because they are battling the hornets for the 7th seed. and that could be important because it's the difference between playing the lakers or spurs.

Its not that clear cut though, Spurs may lose the No.1 to lakers or they might not. Whats clear is that the Grizzlies prefer plying the Spurs.

^ I know, what I'm saying is that Lakers may be 1 or 2, Spurs may be 1 or 2, and the Grizzlies could be 7 or 8. So it depends on if the Grizz get 7 or 8 and what happens with the Lakers and Spurs for the 1 and 2 seed

lol i seriously doubt thats gonna happen

btw theres a good chance memphis gets the 6 seed...dallas is notoriously bad in the first round

also their big so hamed should get pt

yeah chances of hamed starting arent high that i agree with. i just think it would be a smart move by hollins for atleast one game to start him to see how he does, if anything the last game or 2 he should start. at that point resting gasol wouldnt be a bad idea at all.
