Anytime daddash We will go to alot more games next season, hopefully. It's a shame he got elbowed to the head.. and that leg injury.. but he still managed to come back in and finish the game!
I notice alot of people posting about the home stadium. I need to explain to people something about Rice Home games not being as packed as they should be. Only when Rice plays a big opponent like Memphis, UAB, UTEP or Texas does the stadium get packed. Remember, the cheapest tickets to these games are $25 and they are in bleachers way up @ the top. The front 100 - 104 section tickets range @ $100 and season Ticket holders hold first dibs on those front seats and believe me you'll be surprised @ how much the season ticket packages cost... almost as much as franchise professional sports season tickets. Most people who come to these home games are rich alumni dr's and lawyers, or just family members of the players who live in the city. so It's a complete different crowd than you would think.
The thing I noticed the most about this "new" Rice team (this season) is that It's built completely around AK, constant support to the paint. Half the time AK is playin picks and getting busted around left and right while driving to the basket. Plays defense and gets back on offense quickly. Distribution from him throughout the game because of his vision and passes creates alot of support to other guards to take shots. Many ranked teams can't believe a player like this even plays for Rice. He fouls out a player almost every other game.. free throws all day long. In the league, you cant afford to foul a player like AK like you can in the NCAA.. (especially with such great players around you) leaving him dangerous for dunks all day. You should ask Memphis' coach..
call him a small forward, guard, three guard, 4 - 5 guard. he is what he is, don't hate and you should expect alot from this big man. i will always have respect for AK regardless of his future career.
