i am very upset about this, a nation ranked 113th in the world is hosting the greatest tourny of them all, they would never qualify for a WC otherwise...looks like 2022 will have an extra South American team..
    Go Cows!

if they did, then you can't blame Fifa for this, the voters got paid probably.

I don't know about all of the Middle East, but it will definitely help the world think differently of the Persian Gulf thanks to the boogandoo people.

Why would I make it up? It's all real, you can check for yourself.

I'm not blaming FIFA for the advertisement of Qatar (hell yeah, they spent alot), but I'm blaming FIFA for giving the award to them. Australia would've been ideal (new continent, able to produce tournaments[olympics], equipped etc).. but oh well

well these guys have a football relation with qatar, so they were wise choices.

i know from an iranian point of view, it sux, but from qatar and a neutral point of view, wat qatar did inspite of being a tiny nation and not a top nation even at asian level is appreciable.

Sir Alex Ferguson has made a trip to Qatar theweek whilst his players are involved in an International friendly. He was watching Brazil vs Argentina.

“I would back the Qatar bid,” Ferguson said. “I admire their purpose and vision.”

Of course, he’s hardly going to speak of the country in negative terms whilst enjoying himself over there, is he?

Sadly, Ferguson exposed his ignorance this time last year when asked his opinion of England’s friendly trip to, you guessed it, Qatar. He referred to it as “some unknown country” before blasting the decision for mid-season friendlies and claimed the FA organised it simply to have a “nice trip on a sunny day”.

u need to stop doing this selective reading and picking on small things that wont change the overall picture much. the big picture is some of the worlds most well known football figures have some sort of football relations with qatar. whether its well known coaches or world stars retiring in qatari league like the ones u name. now u add or remove 1 or 2 from that list still doesnt change the point.

ALMOST ALL OF THEM ARE RELATED SOMEHOW TO QATAR WHEN IT COMES TO FOOTBALL? is that better?

and there are rumours and some readings say zidane's arabic background could have played a role in him being qatar's ambassador. who knows.....

alcohol will be allowed at fan zones and israel nt can enter the country if qualified.boro baba hypocrites, just ban this alcohol-law and recognize Israel already..this just shows their scumlevel.

EDIT: "Alcohol be available to all fans that come to Qatar, at fan zones," Thawadi said."

That explains it all really. FIFA and their sponsors are going to have a monopoly on alcohol in the country.

Just think about it, if it was held in belgium/holland fe all sort of beer would be available everywhere.
Can they really do that? I am no fan of Israel but that is bs if they qualify they deserve to be in the WC. My question of they are really pushing this why aren't the Jews doing anything about this? Don't they have a lot of media power?

2nd of all they are restricting alchool in the World Cup? Wow that is really going to be a gay world cup.

Also this gives those losers a chance to promote Ar***an Gu*f.

It's like 2 percent, mostly Bahais of Iran.

It says ISRAEL'S NT (national team) can enter Qatar if they qualify.
