so am i...in no way am i rooting for this guy just cuz he's iranian, i have also followed nba and him so i know what im talking about. This is not just some blind patriotic support. Many nba coaches have said he can play and he does just fine, ya hes not yao ming but he is a center which is rare in nba and he can be a good back up in many teams. He can rebound and block and he sets good screens. Just his presence in the paint keeps players away from driving the ball in. In iran - usa match at the world cup, 90% of US teams points came from outside shots. So if some of the best NBA players didnt dominate the paint in that game and they didnt dare to drive the ball in then that says alot.

Bottom line is he is not what u say he is, he can do the basics on the court which means he is qualified to be atleast a back up somewhere. Also take into consideration how he hasnt been given a proper chance to get into the flow of hte game, so how exactly are you judging this guy?

and where was this in your face dunks on him you're talking about? i dont remember any instance that he got punked...sure he was blocked few times maybe and so do the best players in nba, he is not as bad as u describe him

sorry guys but ive been watchin and followin NBA since 1995 nearly every day and Hadaddi is absolutely no NBA Material.
He got absolutely NO skillz compared to 90% of the NBA players.
Even Dampier is kinda 10x times better than he is and Dampier is kinda NOTHING.Guys come on i'm as much patriotic as you are and i really love every iranian sportsmen but when it comes to Basketball and the NBA im just tryin to see things as they are.

I'm sorry, but the reality is that Haddadi doesn't have the discipline, motivation, drive, and passion to be a solid NBA player. It's unfortunate, because he had the natural ability and skills to be a decent backup center in the NBA, capable of playing 15-20 minutes a game for almost any team. At this point, he should pack his bags and prepare to head back home soon.

I remember a two years ago in the final four Michigan St's Delvon Roe, who was much smaller than Thabeet punked him and Uconn. The guy is a big softie who just relies on his size. I knew he was going to be an NBA bust. Howver worst ever NBA Center I'm going to go with Travis Knight. There is another Uconn softie who was supposed to be the greatest center in the history ever. He was this white boy who had mad skills IN COLLEGE but in pro he was a huge flop.
