IFF sent the guy an email, and asked him to train with u21, if he was good he would be invited to TM. That time ashkan was killing the bundesliga with very nice football and quiet a few goals. good he said no. They should treat our players with more respect. At least they could call him and have a meeting in germany...

I think that it's tough for these players who, for want of a better term have 'conflicted nationality'. Because they are given choices. And while i'm sure the heart plays a big role, they also can't help but look at the other factors such as coach, facilities etc..., now, for someone who is born in the country they identify with and live their until playing age, it's easy, they have no options. But you can't tell me that if someone said 'In Country A you'll get a lot of playing time and be adored by the fans, but the facilities are lackluster, the coaching situation isn't the best, and the government tends to interfere in football and the political situation is a bit tumultuous, and in country B, your pitch time will probably be more restricted, but you'll have a world class coach, top notch facilities and training staff and the full support of the government' that you would choose country A all the time, or that the thought of playing for country B wouldn't weigh on your mind. There are probably a number of factors that led to him choosing Germany initially, but it doesn't mean that he loves Iran any less that Germany.

this is a great fact to play for iran^^
#2 Forget about Israel for a second. If Askan picks Germany over Iran, he is going to be sitting on the bench and he might get a few minutes of playing time when Germany is up 5-0 against Latvia or Estonia.
He has a better chance of playing for Iran and making it on the starting line up than Germany, and he can really make an impact right away.
