    World Soccer Magazine's Top Veterans

In the April issue of World Soccer, they had a section covering the 6 best veterans still playing today. I was quite proud to see Hossam Hassan, no doubt thanks to his appearance in the Nations Cup, being named top veteran ahead of other notable stars with long careers. Here's the list:

    1. Hossam Hassan (39)
    2. Romario (40)
    3. Amadeo Carboni (40)
    4. Alessandro Costacurta (40)
    5. Teddy Shearingham (40)
    6. Zvonimir Soldo (38)

I wouldn't say Hossam is better than Romario or Costacurta overall, but I guess they're considering current form at their current ages, in which case the order is more or less accurate.

No doubt. Hassan has been Egypt's mainstay for years, and showed his class hasnt gone away. Romario is still among the top scorers in the Brazilian league and he is showing his class there, and Sheringham is just too good to ignore.
