Guys, half of you are bunch of "talkers and dreamers" SORRY!!!
Now listen, yad begirid...
* This Thread is about India, and not about bangladesh, myanmar, nepal and co!
* The question is really clear!
* I do not know why you always mix-up Russia and Qatar within this thread and theme! I mean, it is fact that the world cup is given to this nations, and i am really PRO Russia instead of England also also PRO aht USA did not get it. They had in in 94, and it is enough, they progressed. we have over 200 nations. And i am really enjoying that England and USA did nto get it...
Some of you seems to be really amateur, sorry......where in the world did it happen that world cup was hosed by more than 2 nations and all teams were qualified, this is not about Asian Cup 2007 n 4 nations.......They clearlly said this World cup is organized and hosted by Qatar, but could be played in Persian Gulf and they only want to allow Qatar beeing host, not Emirate, or Iran, or Bahrain or whoever, they are not hosts only venues! And by the way, you see, this has ntohing to do with the thread, because the question and theme was clever....i do not know why you mix-up and India with Russia and Qatar....masalan kheili ghiaafahasun baham yeki hast or wtf...World Cup 2006, Frankfurt, Iran vs. Portugal, Iranian Frontpage of GOAL Sportspaper

And on the 8.Day God created Ali Karimi, and he saw he was good!
If Defenders were allowed to use their hands to stop Karimi -

I could find many more sources for horrible storries. I mean just look at the first one to see what type of conditions the athletes had to put up with in the hotel.

^^^ I had to laugh at the "higher rate of diarrhea" comment by the Australians. They need to understand that no one has had a solid bowel movement in india for centuries.
But on a serious note:
Yes, india has its problems and yes, there is a lot work to be done, but half your sources are british. There has been this effort by Great Britain and other former "great" empires to put their old colonies' problems under the microscope with the argument being: everything was fine and dandy when we were ruling and look at what has happened now (they are better off being ruled by us).

but i understand your sceptisism of my sources, but the commeanwealth games are mostly covered by UK and Australia. And as US, China, Russia, etc. dont compete; they barely give any media coverage to it. And the Indian media itself reported on everything except the negatives which is understandable because they don't want to give a negative image of themselves.
So what do u expect?
Unfortunately that is how it was reported and how I saw it.
Personally, I dont think India are fit to host a world cup.
