Japan football is not a party, I am sure if Iranians deserve to play there, people above Ghotbi will facilitate. So taking his word as he'd bring them over in 10 days is naive, but am sure he'd suggest players (not because he loves Iranians but because he's in the business of football)

Your post and tone has a party bazi suggestive tone, we expect professionalism from him while acting and speaking way unprofessional..

Exodus of Korean, Japanese players to Europe spikes demand for Aussie replacements
By The Associated Press (CP) – 2 days ago

The exodus of east Asia's top players to the rich playing fields of Europe is gathering pace, with Australians increasingly drifting north to fill the gaps.

Winners Japan, runner-up Australia and third-placed South Korea were the standout teams in the recently concluded Asian Cup and those performances should only build demand for their player talent.
    ...
Okazaki became the sixth Japanese player to head to Germany since the 2010 World Cup when he left Shimizu. The club's coach Afshin Ghotbi, a former assistant coach with the South Korea national team, welcomes the a greater Asian presence in Europe.

"Simply, the South Koreans and Japanese are developing better youth players and are far ahead of rest of Asia in producing talent capable of playing at the highest level," said Ghotbi, who took Iran to the quarterfinal of the 2011 Asian Cup. "The development of youth has a longer history in Japan than any other country in Asia, and South Korea is catching up quickly."

"Japanese players are very technical, intelligent, hardworking, disciplined, and willing to do a job for their team," added Ghotbi. "Playing abroad will be a great opportunity for the top Japanese players to experience a different football culture and tactical priorities. It will also give younger Japanese players more opportunity for first team football in the J-League. Japanese football wins with this migration."

As more of their stars head overseas, clubs in Japan and Korea have been buying an increasing number of Australian imports, offering bigger salaries than those available in the fledgling A-League.

Shimizu has strengthened by signing Alex Brosque from A-League champion Sydney. He joins compatriots Josh Kennedy, Eddy Bosnar and Matthew Spiranovic in the J-League.

Iain Fyfe has left Adelaide United for Korean team Busan IPark and young international Luke Devere has joined South Korean club Gyeongnam. Australian defender Sasa Ognenovski is already in Korea and earned continental-wide recognition in 2010 in lifting the Asian Champions League trophy with Seongnam Ilhwa.

Ghotbi believes that more Australian players will follow in their footsteps.

not parti bazi. i believe that ghotbi never believed in iranian players and he
was just fooling us by giving such promises. how a coach that believes
japan, korea and australia are professional players is even capable of
competing with these teams? ghotbi was playing to us all along.

^ don't put 30 years of Iran's shortcomings in all including football on Ghotbi's lap. who the F### is japan league, if we have deserving players others would snatch them..

come on, when you attack him from all angles which don't make sense, your occasional truthful criticism would lose value.

i just boiled over. russia game proved that our problem was our coach and
that as even queiroz suggested, we can do big things with these players.
now the same guy who was nothing but a video analyzer and we gave
him the chance to sell himself as a coach (no one else gave him such
chance) and he failed us by his terrible formation and subs now
comes out and indirectly says that our players are no good!

You want him to hire the very Iranian players (His former boys) who talked trash behind his back as soon as he left Iran and TM? who in their right mind would do that? bring in people who would create chaos in your team?

This is not about supporting or bashing Qotbi, the common sense for any coach with some brain is to avoid adding players who add controversy and headache!

Russia & Korea games were two different venues, conditions etc. It's better not to have gotten lucky with ghotbi if he wasn't good for our football. chances are with him winning/advancing AC games, you would have attacked him from other angles. true?

Yes it hasn't been in gear for us for years, but calm down and plan for the next day.

actually this is not my concern since i am not sure how long ghotbi will last in j-league

my concern is if he truly believed that japanses, korean and australians are
superior players to us, then he is confessing that he was fooling us
by all those promises of beating Korea etc.

this is my concern, not the fact that he did not get iranian players,
which i am not even sure he has the power to hire.

Can we stop talking about Ghotbi now? Dude is gone, it's time to move on. The amount of threads being made about him should be decreasing with his departure, but it keeps on increasing.

If you really believe a news article where it was said that he promised players to take them to Japan then I suggest you look at the history of the accuracy of our newspapers over the past while...

                              Ghotbi should sign Sheys Rezaei.

what stupid expectations ..... we expect an iranian who has yet to coach his first game in Japan, to bring in iranian players into the team? He is a coach and not the general manager of the team. Coaches have input but do not make personnel decisions ...... and do we know for a fact that we have iranian players approaching Ghotbi for jobs in japan?? Has he denied any player's requests?? Do facts really matter when you post?
