I guess the point of this thread is that football is mostly played in england..?

its all about how many opportunities are provided. Since you're counting official teams, so those countries provide more opportunity for their youth to grow. As opposed to a place like iran where there are hardly grass fields so kids play in streets and futsal fields.

Iran actually has more registered futsal players than football players.

Only in my region, mostly small villages there are more than 30 football clubs. That list is missing alot of them.
