We had Brazilians,Spanish, Argentinians,Dutch players playing in the game, and for me the MOTM was an English (Jack Wilshere).. Brilliant performance by him in the midfield, didn't give the ball away, worked hard, done the simple things effectively..

For me, Guardiola made a mistake by taking Villa off, it shows he was content with the 1 goal he had. Bad move.

Second leg will be interesting.. Barca are still favorites, but atleast Arsenal know they have a lead to hold on to, and the counter-attacks could be lethal at Nou-Camp..

p.s GREAT week for Premiership.. Arsenal beating Spanish leaders, and Tottenham beating the Italian leaders..
Everyone including me thought he would square it for Bendtner, watch it again, if Valdes didn't go a bit forward, Bendtner was there for a 100% goal. I was so shocked when he shot and it went in.

It was poor goalkeeping, end of story.
You have players like RVP to take advantage of that.

It was bad but watch it again, he was anticipating it to be smashed across goal for Bendtner, infact it was very stupid of RVP to shoot from there but it was almost a perfect shot..

EDIT: I've found a fake video but it proves my point even more, no1 would of expected Van Persie to shoot, Bendtner was free for a 100% goal and Valdes was on his post just as RVP was shooting. He was trying to stop a 100% tap in but RVP hit it perfectly inside the near post.

This is exactly his grave mistake.
You leave the defending to the defenders - Your first priority is to NOT let a ball like that in.
It was not stupid of RVP to shoot it in - daste valdez'o khund - Poor poor goalkeeping.

Actually I watched the post match interview and RVP said he just smashed it and a couple of seconds later it was in the goal. He didn't mean to put it there but we will end this here lol.

Pique and Puyol will miss the next game aswell, I'm not sure who they will use but I know their defence will be soorakh, especially with Dani Alves playing as a winger. Damn I have so much hope now

It was a strange game! Barca took the lead when Arsenal were in control and then Arsenal started the comeback when Barca had control through quick counter attacks.
the difference why Barca lost is that Messi didn't take his chances, 2 one on ones and probably some more, he would normally bury them.
Didn't learn from last year that you have to give everything until the whistle is blown, once again Arsenal score 2 late goals and we lose the lead.
Still one away goal, and the performance wasn't too bad, we should be able to advance, all we need is a 1-0 win.
oh and Messi scored a legit goal, overruled by refs wrongly.

                        GRACIAS PEP

Damn there is alot of Barca fans on here. I guess none of them live in Spain, let alone in Catalunya. And let me guess, you guys all started supporting Barca 3 years ago, am I right? Lol typical Iranian glory hunters.

                            ARSENAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!

i love the "oh Barcelona should of scored more goals" woulda coulda shoulda, Arsenal missed some sitters too, but at the end of the day they are a lot more clinical and that proved the difference.

Last year they beat a injury depleted Arsenal team, but with a full strength squad (like i have written in many of my posts) they can beat Barcelona.
