Estili is entitled to his opinion. But when he said that he was the one that brought him to perspolis , that is not an opinion anymore. that is something that he is claiming to be responsible for. It's like , I hire a contractor and then have negative opinion about his work. the fact that I hired him is a fact, but my opinion that his job was poor is an opinion and a different story all together. the question was who brought him to Iran, not if he is a good coach or a bad coach.

now, that's unfair. . You show me ONE , just one, thread that I opened in Ghotbi's support and I leave the site today. You find one post where I have come to tell people stories about how great ghotbi is as a coach or as a person and I leave the site for ever. in fact, for comparison reasons, try to guess how many thread have ever been opened here in the last 20 months in support of ghotbi and compare that to the amount of threads that have been opened to thrash ghotbi..

You say I came with ghotbi. when did ghotbi come to Iran? When did I start posting here?

Don't tell me this is how you conducted your search and concluded that MAFIA brought ghotbi to Iran!!

Again, you gotta do a little better than that. I didn't say anything about him being Iranian. other members did. I replied to another member telling him that "thrashing someone" is easy! Don't you agree?

You have been thrashing Ghotbi and accusing him of so many things without a shred of evidence. You blamed ghotbi for that joke of a ceremony that perspolis club did for him when he first came to Iran. You blamed ghotbi for Hedayatee's purchasing of ghotbi's girlfriend's painting. but based on what? some guy in LA told you, or a friend in Iran told you? Instead of saying those things and spending your energy on thrashing ghotbi you should have worked on the underlying problems. Who put a gun next to hedayatee's head and asked him to buy ghotbi's wife's paintings? You are well connected, tell us who did that. Who forced Kashani to throw that joke of a party for ghotbi when he first came to Tehran?

If ghotbi was backed by pwoerful and almighty MAFIA as you say, why was he selected as the coach of TM but the job was given to Daie in the 90th minute? How is it that this powerful Mafia that you have described (but have failed to give even one name on) so incapable of closing the deal? These are all questions that you have frequently been asked and always refused to answer, while resorting to childish excuses and accusations of members who proposed them to you.

Ghotbi may die tomorrow, f him, the question is your approach and your obsession with some unimportant information you think you found out about Ghotbi not being on the official list of U.S squad in 1998. for your information Sport's Illustrated reported it. someone on ISP had link to that page a few years ago. but even if what you found out was true, so what?

Hooman afazeli claimed that he worked with Ciro as analyzer on limited basis. As you know Hooman afazeli did work with Iranian side during the years of Branko, but what official source can confirm that? I read somewhere after the WC 2006 that he paid his own ticket to Germany (not sure if totally true, but I believe it), why was that? because he wasn't part of the staff, officially. but if Hooman ever claims that he worked with Branko, would he be a lier?

Ghotbi's varied background makes him impossible to categorize, but the man himself has his own ideas.

"I think probably the best way to describe myself is that I have the heart of an Asian, the football brain of a European and the spirit of an American, so it's a great combination," he said. "I'll let the Japanese fans decide after they see my team playing over the months ahead."

former Iran coach Afshin Ghotbi was unable to get his Shimizu S-Pulse reign off to a positive start as goals from Jorge Wagner, Park Dong-Hyuk and Leandro Domingues ensured they went down 3-0 at Kashiwa Reysol. Shimizu also lost defender Eddy Bosnar to a red card in the 79th minute.

the simple fact is that no matter how shittt ghotbi may be TM hasnt been able to get anything better, in form of a coach than him in past 4 or more years..!! and most probably wont be able to upgrade from him anytime soon...!!
                  now go cry about that..!!

Dear NFL (I still don't have a name to call you with),

as I have said before the debate over him by now is redundant and absolute waste of time. So, can't find the interest to go over debating parts that have been exhausted already. But need to clarify a few things that you brought up:

                            a) I am not sure how the subject of "Estili accepted to hire him as his boss" has anything to do with what I have discussed before, but what I responded about Estili in this thread was not about his opinion but rather some behind the scene "facts". Since you said you believe Estili's word over my words, I assumed you would also believe the rest of what he had to say unless you have "selective believing" method ...

                            b) I don't think I need to show you a thread that you have opened up or match the Ghotbi's arrival date with your membership. Neither is relevant to what I said.

It won't take a genius to see your appearance and re-appearance coinciding with Ghotbi discussions. To consistently doing that and then call some one else's interest on the same topic "obsession" would be considered by some as hypocritical ...

                            c) "I conducted my search and concluded MAFIA brought him to Iran"??? What MAFIA? Italians? Dear, none of the members of Ghotbi's media work for Italians. They have their own "source of income".

If you are referring to what I have said as Ghotbi's "supporting cast", or Ghotbi's media, or the high official member of IFF promoting him, as MAFIA, that is your choice, not mine. Some may consider that as distortion of the truth ....

Only thing I can remember is one member of his media that has serious influence in Iran's media and Iran's football is often referred to as "god father" in Iran. I might have mentioned that couple of times here and there.

Also, some may like to view their work as "mafia like" work, that is their choice. I have chosen my own terms for the subject to stay away from exaggeration and their bozorg namaei ...

                            d) You have been in harmony with Bozorg namaei and Mazloom namaei campaign and the archives are the witness. In my book this is an example of "mazloom namaei":

                            http://www.persianfootball.com/forum...0&postcount=36

Basically: bringing up a bad game or bad result is to thrash Ghotbi. Ghotbi is being the victim (mazloom) here for his team failure in this game. A consistent method applied even to my investigative work here by you as "thrashing Ghotbi".

The idea behind Ghotbi's campaign has been to exaggerate his work, and to use the victim card whenever he fails or is in trouble. Anyone or anything that shows otherwise need to be undermined, belittled, or flat out denied.

You refer to "shred of evidence" but when faced with 1998 world cup "official" evidence, your casual response is "so what"!?

I remember that is exactly one of his media member said on TV. His next respond was "it is out of jealousy"!!? Now, how intelligent that comment was is up to others to decide ..... I still see those sort of comments even around here .... I guess everyone has certain capacity and limitation to reason and understand ....

                            e) You brought up Afazeli's work as example. Thanks for the help:

Afazeli's work in world cup qualified him to coach Iran's national team? Did anybody claim that? Nope.

Watching video tapes and reporting to the coach qualified Ghotbi to coach Iran's national team? Yep, according to his media .... The consequence of lacking real experience to coach national team: Multiple failures .... That is a bitter fact that won't change with any mazloom namaei campaign ...
We thank and support Mr.Kamran Delan for many years of dedication and service to Iranian Football Community.
                            Go IRAN!

agha mansoor, it seems to me that you refrain from specific questions that I asked. Case in point, the question I asked about Afazeli! (akh-eh oon javabi ke be man dadi che rabti be so-al man dasht)

You write paragraph after paragraph, you keep saying that you have researched this and that (and I do believe you), you keep using terminologies such as "his media network", "god father"..etc but you don't bother to "name" a couple of those bad guys. Why? You say you have mentioned him a couple of times here and there. But why only a couple of times for the God father and a thousand times for Ghotbi?

You do'nt bother to open up a thread to talk about "them", because your interest is to thrash ghotbi. and that's why I oppose you, not because I care for Ghotbi or that I am his cousin or on his payroll, or one of his media members trying to promote him to TM coaching job. You make too much out of very little and say the same things I used to hear when Mohajerani was the head coach of TM. Do'nt believe me, watch Ghilichkhani's interview with VOA. I am sure it's on Youtube somewhere.

for as long as I remember, decisions are made behind closed doors. and I don't ever remember a time were everyone agreed on who should our national team coach be.

My defense of ghotbi is on the context of the options available at the time of his hiring and the extend of attacks by the basher, on him. I oppose the manor in which attacks are done and the grounds on which the attacks are formed. based on the same belief, I have defended Daie and MK and will defend GN and Mazloomi and every other coach when faced with that same situation. and I hate them all, otherwise.

my point is, go after the root of the problem, not the fruit of the problem.

For years so many members have been begging for some solid proofs and evidence to prove all of the above allegations and accusations, however ironically no such documentations and proofs were provided. All we've been hearing and reading has been baseless allegations backed by nothing but some nice and fancy write ups and non-stop criticism!

All these "Dallals" "Mafia" "God father" "Connection" talks have been presented in an informal fashion. I am yet to see one single prove to solidify these claims, then I may join the Qotbi-bashers' bandwagon!
