he may have come to iran through dallal connections but he stayed in iran
through his own marketing and sell-out to the government more than dallals.

He was bragging and the idiots bought that: "I think probably the best way
to describe myself is that I have the heart of an Asian, the football brain of a
European and the spirit of an American, so it's a great combination,"

true that he initially was paying to some papers to boost his image and
present him as the emperor, but later he stopped paying and some turned
against him just for that. he prefered verbereek and hiddink support instead.

i think ghotbi will be remembered based on his performance rather than these
and he'll be remembered for appeasing to the dictator at the same time youth
of the country like nedas and sohrabs were being masacared in the streets of
tehran by the thugs of the despotic regime. that basically killed his repute.

you must be out of touch with football in iran to not see any prove of it.

^This should be printed in gold.

Ala jaan, correct observation about newspapers, but main members of his media remained with him.

Dear NFL, I did answer the question. It is there for you to review it again.
I am rushed against time and I have to go out of town now but I inivte you to visit F+ in a few days for more ...

          Yeah, right.

And, because you can't TOUCH AND TASTE the physical proof of Ghotbi's mafia that attached this incompetent to iranian football, then it means its all one BIG FAT LIE aghaye Keano-e aziz.

Same theory should apply to Islamic Republic then.
Are there any PHYSICAL PROOFS of the fact that IRI is stealing the money which belongs to iranian people?

          I haven't seen it yet.
Then, it means everything is just PEACHY.

On a serious note, I'm convinced for some people Ghotbi is the best thing they deserve.

Be ghole maaruf: khalayegh har che layegh.

            Never mind guys,

Seems the best some of you folks have to offer when it comes to unfavored arguments is ridiculing and sarcasm, which is a notorious Iranian trait I guess!

The only graceful and logical reply I got was from Ala, therefore I just quit any sort of discussion with some folks here at PFDC.

Before I end my post, I have to admit that I too condemned and despised Qotbi's attendance at AN's speech, but is this type of action something totally new to you guys? in Iran whoever gets a decent job usually takes no shame in kissing some political figures' behind!

Ghotbi got what he wanted in Iran but shamefully he failed to deliver and sadly he could not even win that low level West Asian Games. According to some here he may be a good coach but I ain't see nothing yet. I guess the j-league is one more opportunity for him. We wait and see.

                YES!

I don't recall one other person involved in iranian football who:

A- Went to bed with AN.
B- Said sports and politics shouldn't be mixed.

A few solutions for those who are STILL in love with Ghotbi:

A- Put togheter your own football team and hire Ghotbi as the coach.
B- Starting cheering for Shimizu S-Pulse.
C- Make on-line petitions, start public campaigns and demand Ghotbi to be hired by your favoraite club team.

For the love of god though, stop doing the followings:

A- Reminding people of the two years in which Team Melli was HIJACKED by this software analyzer.

B- Trying to clean his image! You can't wash someone who slept with AN, even if you use TONS OF DETERGENT.

The smell of AN will NEVER wash off!

i am sure they did and they probably made lots of money with him but
having a mafia is not the worst ghotbi did. messing iran's team melli is
a much bigger crime. no iranian would do anything to harm his national
team, but this guy knew he cannot do it yet he gave people false promises
and more important than that meddling in politics in favor of dictators and
against the people's democracy movement makes him the lowest one can go.

There is no "but"s or justifications Keano jan. That ceremony and the timing made it a historic and symbolic one, it was not just any ceremony. The people who attended it like Shahrifinia, Najafi, etc. are currently among the most hated people in Iran. Did you know that Shahrifinia and his family were booed in a saloon that they went to watch a theater a couple of months after the ceremony? It was so harsh that he and his family had to leave the theater.

These opportunists showed that they prefer money, power and fame to EVERYTHING even the lives of their countrymen. The majority of people in Iran are not like them.

See, two kinds of people attended the ceremony. The first kind are the political figures such as the ministers, mullas, people like kaffashian, Taj, Saket, etc. These people were never liked by the people, their status did not change after the ceremony either.

The second type are the people who had their fame from the ordinary people. These people lost much more that they gained from attending that ceremony. Ghotbi, Sharifinia, Rezazadeh, Najafi are a few of them...

Can't argue that TM-Fan jaan. I have never advocated Qotbi's attendance in this shameful ceremony. I fully am sharing same thoughts and sentiments as you do, in regards to this pathetically shameful incident!

I have been hearing that for 35 years and I know there are behind closed door deals that goes on, people with Partie bazi doing things the way the want it, but never ever do you see any proof of that and the only reason few guys point their attack at ghotbi so much is because their favorite coach didn't get the job. Nothing else.

ask yourself this question, where were these guys to object to the dalal bazi and mafia and god fathers of Iranian football (lol), before ghotbi's arrival?

Why can't they name the "god father"? or set up a campaign against him? God knows they are pretty good at setting up campaigns as they are (like Mansoor and Kaiser Amir) in the media themselves!! Don't they , shouldn't they care more about Iran's football than they do about Ghotbi's girl friend's painting?

Agha Mansoor, this is what I asked you:

As you know Hooman afazeli did work with Iranian side during the years of Branko, but what official source can confirm that? I read somewhere after the WC 2006 that he paid his own ticket to Germany (not sure if totally true, but I believe it), why was that? because he wasn't part of the staff, officially. but if Hooman ever claims that he worked with Branko, would he be a lier?
                              This was your response:

Afazeli's work in world cup qualified him to coach Iran's national team? Did anybody claim that? Nope.

I have read them a few times, my post and yours and don't see any connection.

Afazli was not part of any official staff of TM when he worked with Ciro/Branko, was he? Would he be a liar if he claims that he worked with Ciro/Branko? It should be simple enough to answer, why all the fuss??

FYI, where did I say anything about Afazeli's qualification to become Iran's national team coach? You see when I say you intentionally steer away from answering direct questions? I could write 2 pages responding to your last post to me and ask you the same unanswered questions. the same questions that other members asked you two/three years ago which you have repeatedly steered away from giving a simple and straight answer.

that's OK agha mansoor, I don't need to wait a few more days for your new findings on F+. I have already heard them. I have heard them for 30 years. they are all irrelevant as far as I am concerned because the comments you are gonna make in a few days have already been made a million times.

Just name a few of the bad guys.. that's all. I wonder why you are so hesitant..
