One way traffic one doubt, Barca far superior team on the day. But Arsenal didnt go there to win the match, they went out there to get a goal and secure a draw.

But when you go down to a ridiculous red card, it changed the game. Honestly the way Arsenal were defending they were going to shock Barca or at least send the game into extra time.

I'm very disappointed with how the game ended under those circumstances, its similar to the cup final years ago when Arsenal lost a man early to Barca.....

Barca's 1st and 2nd goals were simply incredible under the pressure they were in.

although the red card did have a minor effect on the game, it was inevitable that Barca would win. However, Bendter had a great chance right at the end from Wilshere's pass. If that had gone in, Arsenal would have been through. Makes me think what would have happened if RVP had that chance if he hadn't been sent off...

The red card was BS and definitely affected the game! You could clearly see that Van Persie didn't hear the whistle! He even had a disappointed face expression after shooting the ball wide. With 100K loud fans in stadium that can happen, the ref should have just given him a verbal warning, but not his 2nd yellow card!

Of Course Van Persie Heard Because If He Werent Offside He Would Have Cut In And Shot With His Left Foot He Is Left Footed He Rarely Uses His Right And He Would Not Have Shot From That Far

And It Dont Take The Fact Away Arsenal Had No Shots Even Wid Van Persie On No Shots

K00n kababi, RVP shot the ball 1 second after the whistle. I was in camp nou for Barca's match against Racing and the fans were so ****n loud it was unbelievable and they were playing Racing Santander imagine what they do for champions league game against Arsenal.

then its not really a minor effect if you are thinking that.

when you are reduced to 10 men you are immediately disadvantaged, when you are going out to draw being reduced to 10 men is a huge huge thing.

guys no argument there, whether he heard the whistle or not it was a very harsh sending off. although I've seen stupid things by rvp to get sent off this wasn't one of them.
But Im happy the refs made up for mistakes and foul calls against Barca in that tie.
I think Barca would have still scored 2 with rvp on, because Arsenal caused no danger what so ever with him on as well, and defensively he didn't do anything...

Anyone spot how Messi didn't get a penalty in first half by the challenge by Diaby?

^it was a 50/50 call at best, and I thought it was Clichy in that scene.
That first goal was absolute class, almost as if he was a pro playing with children in a charity match to impress the spectators the way he flicks it over almunia and then slams it home
