New webseries and game coming out for the series. They both look REALLY promising, especially the web series.

There is a British-Iranian playing Kano.

Also, the demo for the new game came out on Playstation Network, and for Xbox Live it will come out March 18.

I remember playing the original Mortal Kombat on Sega Genesis years ago in Iran with my family and friends. Back then, Mortal Kombat and Tekken 2/3 were THE games. Since then, fighting games haven't been that great (Tekken 6 was a major flop), but I'm hoping Mortal Kombat will be able to impress.

outworld's storyline is structured much like irans in a way. Outworld (IR IRAN) used to be called Edenia (Iran or Persia) before the invasion of Shao Kahn (1979 Khomeini). Shao Kahn installed a puppet, Shang Tsung (you could put any of the presidents of Iran in here) to meddle with the Earth Realm (United States?) After Shao Kahn dies, Shinnok (Khameini) takes over the helm. LOL i know i over analyzed EVERYTHING just now but it was fun to correlate the two.

pretty big fan of MK...best game was MK Trilogy on the playstation and worst was easily MK Mythologies Sub Zero which was just awful, I have a soft spot for MK 2 and 3 also...cant wait for the new games
