      Ahmadinejad was not democratically elected, in the conventional and technical sense of the term. All candidates are chosen by the Guardian council.

      Bush, however, WAS elected, and re-elected by a significant portion of the American people.

      We can deduce that Bush is more representative of America than Ahmadinejad is of Iran. However, this still does not make an ignorant generalization justifiable.

      There are exceptions to almost every rule.
      Right, as the world goes, is only in question between equals in power, while the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must.
