well-deserved?? Real was far away of winning this match...a lucky punch by Ronaldo was enough against a stupid Barca offense....

Overall Barca was the better team, but tough luck both teams played very good and it's football, anything can happen.

Real Madrid had the better chances, Ronaldo's saved shot, Ronaldo's wide shot, Adebayor's shot and Ronaldo's rebound, Pepe's header off the post, Di Maria's saved shot etc...........

On another day Real would of scored 2 or 3, Barca keep the ball too much, it's boring to watch.

Barca were the better team? Barca deserved to win? Guys, please watch the game again if you really thought that was the case.

First of all..

Man to man, Barcelona have better players than Madrid.. No doubt about that.. Mourinho acknowledged that, and thought of a way of stifling Barca.. How did he do that? Playing Pepe in Defensive mid, to help Alonso and Khedira who were terribly exposed at Nou Camp in November.

Did it work? Oh yes, it did.. Pepe was outstanding, winning so many crucial tackles, and keeping Iniesta relatively quiet compared to his usual standards.

The back five of Madrid(including keeper) were outstanding.. Casillas made crucial saves in the second half.. Ramos and Carvalho were ROCK solid @ the back, and Marcelo was very disclipined compared to his usual self. He also was involved in the goal, and had a decent game.

Di Maria worked his socks off, and gave it all for the team. A wonderful one-two that lead to the goal. Ronaldo missed few chances, but always looked a threat in the back. Masherano is/was never a CB.. and what a header. Like an old-fashioned striker.

Jose Mourinho got his tactics spot on once again. You must be doing something right, if you lost a game, then drew it, and then beat Barca.. He set out his team defensively and then hit Barca on the break. You squeeze up the midfield of Barca, and do not give too much space between the midfield and attack. It worked aswell. To not concede a goal for 120 minutes speaks volumes, and that was because of the organisation of Carvalho.

Only a fool would write of Barcelonas chances for the semis.. It sets it up perfectly, but I am telling you, Mourinho will have fire in his belly to make a battle of it. This guy is called the special one for a reason.

Barcelonas squad lacks depth, and this was shown by the absence of Puyol. Playing a midfielder at CB was the best they could come up with, and from the bench, there wasn't much Guardiola could have done to change the attack??

Decent game. Not too entertaining, but quite tense and passionate. A typical cup final attitude by both teams.

Real was in complete control of the game,Mourinho knew that you cant beat barca at their own game (Possesion) so he instead built a fort to withstand their attacks and then used speedy attackers to catch them on the counter.

Now that every coach in the world has seen this, we will see everyone use this tactic against barca AND spain.

i don't think you can say that from just 2 results, they had some injuries in their back line and goalie. the golden era will certainly be over if Guardiola leaves after 2012 though...

You gotta be kidding.
You guys played an amazing first half (and parts of ET) but Barca was all over Madrid in 2nd half.
Also the game in Bernabeu you draw in the last few minutes at home...and don't forget the 5-0, Barca will beat this same Madrid team at Camp Nou in front of 98K anyday.

This was a very close game, Madrid outplayed Barca in the first half, I cant remember Barca having a shot on target in the first half while Real had great chances to score (Pepe's header was insane).
But Its safe to say Iker saved Real once again losing to Barca, with great saves from Iniesta, Messi and Pedro.
Im proud at how we played, its a final and really could have gone eighter way, Real took their chance, Barca didn't, simple as that. and as long as Villa is in Torres kinda of form, Real can be hopeful of beating Barca in the CL too.
