ya i was disappointed at rose, he hasnt lived up to it and is not playing like a champion really, the whole bulls team actually. Miami and Dallas however are hungry for it, should be a great final but i think dirk deserves the championship more, miami can wait another year. I'd hate to see players like dirk and jason kidd retire without a championship.

When you've made the All-NBA Defensive 1st team 3 years in a row, it's pretty safe to say that you're arguably the best defender in the league. D12 might be the Defensive Player of the Year, but do you think he could step out and shut down a starting PG? Lebron's versatility is what makes him great, he can guard anyone from the 1-4 positions one on one, and could actually guard most of the 5's in the league as well if he had to.

Howard - The most dominant defensive big man in the paint, but not the best overall defender. You can't ask him to guard the 3 point line or chase around a point guard.
Iguodala - A poor man's Lebron who hasn't been the same since he got his big contract, and constantly riddled with injuries. Plus he isn't heavy enough to bang with 4's.
Rondo - He's probably the top defensive PG in the league, but doesn't do nearly enough to be considered best overall defender. He isn't a lock down game changer like Lebron can be.
Noah - See Dwight Howard
Garnett - An old shell of his former self, doesn't belong in this conversation right now.
Tony Allen - Dominant backcourt defender still, although he's lost the freakish athleticism he had before his ACL knee surgery. A case can be made for him as Defensive Player of the Year, but he simply can't do enough to be considered best "overall" defender.
Bogut - This is just a joke. Good rebounder and shot blocker stats wise, but very mediocre 1 on 1 defender even for the center position.
Chandler - A poor man's Dwight Howard.
Battier - Still a fundamentally great defender even at this stage in his career, but got much of his rep for supposedly being the guy who knew "how to defend Kobe". You could make a case for him being the best "overall" defender in the NBA several years ago, but he is not even in the conversation in 2011.
Conclusion: After further analysis, Lebron is not "arguably" the best overall defender, he is without a doubt the best at this moment. If you disagree with me, go ask around and do your own research and I'm pretty sure you'll reach the same conclusion.

come on now, when u compare defensive players u have to consider position too...obviously the bigger guys are better cuz of their size...so u have to speak relatively. For his size lebron is ONE of the best defenders right now.
ALSO, crunch time is when it matters most, i think when it comes to those sensitive moments at the end of the game, lebron is one of the most focused players....thats what makes the difference between good players and champions.

We choked two consecutive games to our players' inexperience and Brooks inability to set a ****n play off a time out to save his life. Westbrook had to take 65 shots to get past 30+ points again. Durant was not aggressive enough. Refs bailed out Dallas to some extent when they were down with 4minutes to go but it does not matter as we had 7 TO and 7 fouls late in 4th alone.
Overall I'm happy with the results, before the playoffs I said I would be happy with a WCF appearance and we reached that.
The team is young and already made WCF in their second year in Playoffs. Durant needs to hit the gym and become stronger to develop a nasty Post game. Westbrook has to start learning to THINK like a playmaker not a nut case. Ibaka should go on a mission to improve his offensive side of the game.
OKC got a young extremely talented core who aint going anywhere. Kudos to us the most impressive team in the Playoffs.
Mavs were great as a team the whole series, they were clutch and able to close games. Everybody pitched in when it mattered. Dirk was awesome the whole series, the guy wants the title this year and he gonna get it. Good Luck to them in the finals.
