im praying for the greatest comeback in NBA history for the knicks

had amare and billups not been injured and the refs would have been even semi decent in the first 2 games, this would be a completelyyyyyyy diferent series

OKC is 3-0 a head in the hardest first round series this year but nobody gives them credit, its a shame really. I dont give a shit anyway as long as we are kicking ass and winning the series

i never like to make excuses when my knicks loose games fact being i blame d'antoni most of the time, but honestly this series was a complete disgrace as a knick fan. the refferee's were the worst i have ever seen in my entire life, and is the reason boston won the first two games. boston did great in new york and deserved game 3 and 4, but game 1 and 2 should have gone to NY undoubtably (with decent officciating).

Has anyone noticed that the only marginally interesting match-up in the Eastern Conference is Orlando and Atlanta (and even then, who gives a shit about Orlando and Atlanta)? Every other match-up's inevitable outcome is as plain as day. And yet ABC (ESPN a.k.a. Eastern Sports Propaganda Network) is completely set on showing off these "engaging" series.

I'll admit, though, the Eastern Conference's second round is going to be way more interesting than the Western Conference's second round.

I dont mind playing the blazers. They are tough to beat at home but at staples they are a bunch of sweethearts. The only team I afraid of playing is the thunder. They have got older, wiser, deeper and more experienced and Kobe has got old and slow, if we had Kobe of 2 years ago I would have been like n... plz, we GOT THIS! but now I dont know

Yes and the reason is as top heavy as the eastern conference is its still a VERY VERY weak conference top through botom which is why I don't really think the records of the top 3 eastern teams is comparable to the west teams.

Take this: When Atlanta qualified for the playoffs as the fifth seed the lakers (2nd seed) had not qualified yet. This just shows you how weak the eastern conference is. Of course just look at the standings: Houston which did not even qualify for the playoffs has a 43-39 record. Philly the 7th seed in the eastern conference is a 500 team at 41-41. West is still the class of the NBA

The thunder are a much more talented team than the 04 pistons but the pistons were a hungry veteran team.

The casual fan doesn't remember that eversince shaq got fat in the 02-03 season the lakers lost a step which is why the lost to the spurs in 03 playoffs. They signed Karl Malone to be able to matchup well against the big powerforwards of the west like Duncan and KG and it worked but then Malone missed the finals and shaq was overweight and was swallowed by the two headed wallace monster. The pistons should put 2 asterisks next to 2 out of 3 of there championships because they only got them due to serious injuries for the lakers (I know mojo is not gonna like this! )
we are not talking one game injury like perk in last year game 7 (a guy who is not even a star). We are talking injuries to Malone and kareem abduljabbar the top two alltime in NBA scoring history!
